McDonalds Is Giving Away Free Coffee Cards, Then Asking People To ‘McCafé It Forward’

0

Today, McDonalds announced it’s launching their new ‘McCafé It Forward’ program – a three-day, pay-it-forward program that is designed to spread goodness across the country one golden cup of coffee at a time.

Beginning tomorrow, 500 McCafé It Forward cards will be distributed and activated throughout the U.S. Each card swipe can be exchanged for one free small cup of McCafé Premium Roast Coffee or Iced Coffee at participating McDonald’s nationwide until August 23.

The first card recipients – selected because they’re coffee lovers or individuals known for demonstrating kindness in their communities – will redeem their cup of coffee, and then kick off the ripple effect of goodness by passing the card along.

“We know McCafé customers are already sharing acts of kindness every day, and McCafé It Forward is a chance for us to amplify what they’re doing on a larger scale and prove good is truly brewing around every corner,” said McDonald’s Senior Director of Brand and Menu Innovation Strategy, Elina Veksler. “We’ve been on a decade long journey with McCafé, and we share in that feeling of optimism each and every time our customers take that first sip of coffee.”

Should customers receive a McCafé It Forward card, they should head to their nearest participating McDonald’s for a small coffee, and then give the card to a friend, someone who has done good in their life, or even a stranger to keep the goodness going one cup at a time. Everyone is invited to follow along all three days as the cards spread kindness throughout the U.S. by visiting BeABrewGooder.com.

Free McDonalds Coffee For Life Sweepstakes

McDonalds is also encouraging people to recognize those who they think have done good in their world by nominating someone who they believe has done something good big or small – via the McCafé Be A Brew-Gooder sweepstakes. By nominating a Brew-Gooder you can enter for the chance for them and yourself to win McCafé for Life.

From August 26 through September 29, nominations can be submitted via Twitter, Instagram, or an entry form via the McDonald’s App or BeABrewGooder.com. Winners will be selected in a random drawing. Visit BeABrewGooder.com for official sweepstakes rules.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra About To Host A One-Of-A-Kind 'Ghosts of Christmas Eve' Show in CharlotteThe Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), a multi-platinum, critically-acclaimed progressive rock group will be coming to Charlotte this winter. Returning with all-new staging and effects is the unforgettable show that started it all, “Christmas Eve and Other Stories.”
TSO’s show that started small, performed to 12,000 people in five cities in 1999, which then exploded onto the national scene, eventually playing to 9 million fans over the course of an incredible 12 years (through 2011), the mega-hit “Christmas Eve and Other Stories” has grossed an incredible $377 million over 1224 performances.
A product of the vision and imagination of TSO’s late founder/composer/lyricist Paul O’Neill, “Christmas Eve and Other Stories” began the unique format O’Neill called “Rock Theater” and forged a deep connection with their fans that it turned into the wildly-successful tour, cementing the group’s status as a must-see, multi-generational, holiday tradition and kick-started the trend of Yuletide season tours.
The band will be playing at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center on December 7th from 3pm to 8pm. Tickets are now available here on Stubhub.com.

Charlotte Pride Breaks Attendance Records With An Estimated 200,000 Visitors

0

This past weekend, the Queen City witnessed its largest Charlotte Pride festival and parade in our city’s history.

According to organizers, an estimated 200,000 visitors came to the festival over the 3 days it was held in Uptown Charlotte;

This year’s numbers were significantly higher than previous years, including an estimated 130,000 in 2016, 150,000 in 2017, and 165,000 in 2018.

Organizers think the significantly increase in numbers this year was due to the fact that 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Manhattan’s Stonewall riots back in the 60s.

Carolina Panthers Officially Open “The Bubble”

0

The Carolina Panthers have just officially opened “The Bubble” – a new ‘indoor’ practice facility that will allow the team to practice even when its raining or snowing out.

The team just posted pictures of the new facility on their social channels with the caption “New digs 👀”;

Last year, Panthers owner David Tepper sent a letter to all season ticket holders, talking about the new ‘bubble’ facility as well as additional changes to the Panthers Stadium.

“At this point, given our practice field and what other people have in the league, we’re falling behind a little bit,” noted Tepper. “The Bubble is our first of several planned infrastructure projects and will be followed by enhancements to Bank of America Stadium and a new permanent practice facility and campus in the future.”

The Panthers have had to practice in all kinds of negative conditions, from soggy fields, to snow, to freezing rain. The rainfall before Christmas was so bad that the team was forced to practice in an open event space inside the Charlotte Convention Center.

The Bubble will be a short term solution to the Panthers indoor practice facility needs as the team awaits their massive new headquarters and practice facilities in Rock Hill.

Charlotte’s Population Density Is Growing At An Alarming Rate

0

charlotte-uptown-romare-bearden-parkIf you’ve driven through South End within the past 6 months, you’ve undoubtedly noticed the crazy amount of growth – new apartment complexes as far as the eye can see.

With the new light rail extension now complete, the same type of growth is expected all along Tryon St. and North Davidson St.

In addition to dozens of new apartment complexes approved, our city is also planning to build the new 1,300 acre river district, and the $683 million “Brooklyn Village” in Uptown.

According to many economists, by the year 2025, the greater Charlotte metro region will be home to over 2.8 million residents – the 10 county metro region now has 2.4 million residents. Within the city limits, our population is expected to grow from 827,000, to over 1.2 million in that same time.

Without any major new road projects (other than toll roads), and additional public transportation projects now only in the planning stages, our current growth levels could soon become unsustainable.

To put our current numbers in perspective, the company SpareFoot has put together a density comparison between Charlotte and other major cities around the world (most have far more transportation options than we currently do).

“Note that Charlotte’s city limits were used for this visualization, not the metro area. While some readers may object to the exclusion of surrounding locales, metro areas are not as well defined as city limits and that is often a matter of debate itself.”

Benefits Of Selling Your Home Online

0

Selling your home is both an exciting and daunting phase in your life. It’s thrilling because you get a fresh start as you anticipate building your dreams on your new home. At the same time, the search for a buyer and transition once the sale is complete can be overwhelming.

Fortunately, there are now lots of alternatives on how you can sell your home aside from the traditional way of working with a listing agent. You can look for real estate investment companies such as www.nexushomebuyers.com and that specialize in purchasing properties for cash. Aside from having a listing agent or going to real estate investors, you can also promote your home online through various platforms.

Here are some benefits of selling your home online:

  1. Save Money on Advertising

The traditional way of selling a home involves paying loads of money for flyers and posters to promote your property. Now, the Internet has allowed ordinary homeowners to present their listing to the public. Whether you’re working with a real estate company or trying to sell your home on your own, social media sites are potent tools for those who are looking to save money on advertising.

These are a few of the best websites to post your property listing for free or a minimal fee:

  • Facebook – With its massive network, Facebook is one of the top places to post your listing. You take pictures of your property and publish a set of photos on the social media site. Plus, its Marketplace feature can promote your home to people in your area even if you aren’t connected on the website.
  • Twitter – The microblogging site has improved its visibility feature. You can pay the platform a minimal fee to promote a tweet containing pictures of your home to boost its reach. If your followers like or retweet your post, people who are following them can see your listing.
  • Instagram – Instagram has become one of the major platforms that allow people to sell their products online, even property listings, and reach their target audiences. The site also allows sponsored posts that show up to your intended demographic, depending on the photos and videos they liked. This means that if people recently viewed posts about homes in your area, it’s highly likely that they are looking for properties there and the app’s algorithm will show them your published images.
  1. Reach More Potential Buyers in Your Area

Online platforms, mainly social media websites, not only let you reach your intended audience, but they also allow you to set the variables of who gets to see your listing. This means that you can do more targeted marketing and choose to publish your post to users near your area.

Reaching potential buyers in your locality makes it easy for them to view your home in-person. House-viewing plays a significant role in converting prospects into paying customers. You can also deal with a cash home buyer for a faster transaction. Sell your Gainesville home today to a cash buyer to avoid dealing with demanding buyers, which can waste your time and money for out-of-your-pocket repairs.

  1. Full Control of Your Listing

By selling online, you can control how much you’ll be charging for your home. However, you should know that most first-time home-sellers make the mistake of overpricing their listings, which only guarantees to put their homes on-sale for months without any movement.

You can set the price for your house by speaking with industry experts and getting their property valuation estimate. This way, you avoid putting off potential buyers through overpricing.

Another way you gain control of your listing is with the viewing schedule. You can have prospects schedule an appointment with you through your website or social media profiles to see your home in-person. By taking an active role in the sale of your property, you can answer any questions or concerns that potential buyers may have.

  1. Accurate Market Choices for the Buyer

If you decide to sign up for property portals, you’ll need to provide an in-depth description of your home along with elaborate photos as proof of your claims. This may be time-consuming, but it does allow buyers to set filters on what features they want, how many bedrooms they need, and other amenities that they desire to have for their home.

Conclusion

Selling your home online can open up a wide range of opportunities. You can save money on advertising by selling your property to home-buying companies like www.faircashdeal.com and taking advantage of social media websites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You can also do more targeted marketing and reach your intended audience. Moreover, you get full control on your listing, particularly for the price and viewing of your property, as well as provide accurate market choices for potential buyers.
