Story About Stranger Paying Over $700 For Young Girl’s Airplane Ticket Is Now Going Viral

0

A heartwarming story of generosity is now going viral on Facebook of a total stranger who purchased an airplane ticket for a child in need.

The story was originally posted by the Love What Matters Facebook page.

Since they originally posted the account this past Wednesday, it’s already received over 33,000 shares and over 160,000 likes:

On Wednesday, a witness reported the account of a distraught father who discovered that he didn’t have enough money to cover the steep price of his young daughter’s flight back home.

The father initially believed that his daughter would be able to fly for free as she just turned 2 years old after he bought his ticket. The airline agent had some bad news, however, he would have to pay the full $749 ticket price for his daughter.

He started to cry when he realized he couldn’t afford the ticket, then suddenly, a woman interrupted the conversation and said she would be willing to pay.

The witness said the man hugged the woman, asking how he could repay her generosity.

The woman repeatedly told the father, “Don’t worry about it.”

The Panthers Just Signed A Deal To Bring Julius Peppers Back Home To Charlotte

0

Julius Peppers is now coming back to Charlotte after leaving the Panthers in 2010.

Pepper’s agent, Carl Carey, just tweeted out the news that’s now exciting Panther fans across the country:

Fans and players alike are looking forward to having the pro-bowl defensive end back in the Carolina lineup.

Thomas Davis even told all his followers on Instagram to welcome Peppers back with open arms:

Rotoworld‘s senior editor, Evan Silva, pointed out that this is shaping up to be the most powerful defensive line the Panthers have ever had:

The exact terms of the deal have not yet been released.

Julius Peppers might not be returning to Charlotte in the best shape of his life, but he did rack up 25 sacks over the past 3 seasons with the Packers, so he certainly has plenty of juice left – and it’s hard to deny the synergy he has with many of his original NFL teammates.

He first joined the Panthers in 2002 as the No. 2 overall pick out of UNC Chapel Hill, and dominated the line for 8 solid seasons, making the pro-bowl 5 times.

How do you feel about Julius Peppers returning to the Panthers?

0

mcdonalds-buttermilk-crispy-tendersMcDonald’s just announced that it’s about to challenge Chik-fil-A, head-on, according to the Chicago Tribune.

They will be testing their new ‘buttermilk crispy chicken tenders’ at all of their 138 locations around the greater Charlotte region to see if it makes sense put the new item on all of their menus across the country.

The new tenders are basically one step down from McDonald’s ‘Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich’, which was first included on the menu back in 2015.

Many fast food restaurants have been toying with new chicken recipes over the past few years, including Burger King’s new ‘Chicken Fries’ and Taco Bell’s new ‘Chicken Taco Shell’.

New chicken and breakfast items are two main focus areas for McDonald’s menu development in the near future, commented Lance Richards, vice president of menu strategy, in a press release.

How do you feel about McDonald’s new ‘buttermilk crispy chicken tenders’? Do you think they could improve on Chick-fil-A’s recipe?

0

Although we saw temperatures in the mid 70s today, meteorologists are now predicting between 1-3 inches of snow to fall throughout the greater Charlotte area this coming Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Temperatures are expected to start dropping Friday night with a high of 55 on Saturday and a high of 48 on Sunday.

The biggest factor that will determine if and how much snow might fall around our region will be how low the temperature will drop on Sunday morning. The snow/rain line is expected to run right through the center of our city, with 1-3 inches of snow a strong possibility in North Charlotte, up through Statesville, and rain likely from South Charlotte to Rock Hill.

The freezing weather will be coming from a Canadian air mass moving through the Ohio Valley and down through the Southeast.

Time to get your milk and bread!

According to the police report, witnesses first heard a shower of bullets on West McFarland Avenue before the car sped through the South Gastonia neighborhood and drove into the living room of the Crawford Ave. home. The person or persons responsible for the shooting fled the scene in what police believe was a second vehicle.

After the home crash, police surrounded the car and home and eventually arrested 3 people. These were connected to outstanding warrants, and it’s not clear they were involved in the shooting.
