Julius Peppers is now coming back to Charlotte after leaving the Panthers in 2010.

Pepper’s agent, Carl Carey, just tweeted out the news that’s now exciting Panther fans across the country:

Fans and players alike are looking forward to having the pro-bowl defensive end back in the Carolina lineup.

Thomas Davis even told all his followers on Instagram to welcome Peppers back with open arms:

Rotoworld‘s senior editor, Evan Silva, pointed out that this is shaping up to be the most powerful defensive line the Panthers have ever had:

The exact terms of the deal have not yet been released.

Julius Peppers might not be returning to Charlotte in the best shape of his life, but he did rack up 25 sacks over the past 3 seasons with the Packers, so he certainly has plenty of juice left – and it’s hard to deny the synergy he has with many of his original NFL teammates.

He first joined the Panthers in 2002 as the No. 2 overall pick out of UNC Chapel Hill, and dominated the line for 8 solid seasons, making the pro-bowl 5 times.

How do you feel about Julius Peppers returning to the Panthers?
