Although we saw temperatures in the mid 70s today, meteorologists are now predicting between 1-3 inches of snow to fall throughout the greater Charlotte area this coming Saturday night/Sunday morning.
Temperatures are expected to start dropping Friday night with a high of 55 on Saturday and a high of 48 on Sunday.
The biggest factor that will determine if and how much snow might fall around our region will be how low the temperature will drop on Sunday morning. The snow/rain line is expected to run right through the center of our city, with 1-3 inches of snow a strong possibility in North Charlotte, up through Statesville, and rain likely from South Charlotte to Rock Hill.
The freezing weather will be coming from a Canadian air mass moving through the Ohio Valley and down through the Southeast.
