From chocolate bars to apartments, shrinkflation is real.

The latest analysis of apartment size in the 100 largest U.S. cities shows that America’s newly built apartments hit a 10-year low, after a sharp 30-square-foot drop in size last year.

Charlotte renters may feel like the walls are closing in on them, as they have to make do with 9 square feet less than what they used to rent a decade ago. However, apartments in the city are far from smallest in the country.

Here are more highlights:

  • The average Charlotte apartment measures 929 square feet, less than what renters get in Greensboro, Winston-Salem or Raleigh. Still, that’s significantly more than the national average of 887 square feet, placing the city on the 35th spot nationwide for its apartment size.
  • New rentals in Charlotte offered 938 square feet in 2013, but lost 9 square feet by 2022. The shrinkage is the 2nd most significant in the state, with Durham taking the lead after a 27-square-foot drop.
  • Apartments in Charlotte are expected to shrink further in the future, as units under construction are estimated to average 923 square feet once completed.
  • Nationwide, the average size of new apartments contracted by 54 square feet in the last decade. Notably, 2022 showed the largest year-over-year decrease, down 30 square feet. The drop in size can be attributed to more studios and one-bedroom apartments entering the market in 2022, among other factors.

Hendrick Motorsports Announces Massive $14.9 Million Expansion in Concord

0

One of NASCAR’s most legendary teams, Hendrick Motorsports, just announced a massive new $14.9 million expansion to their Concord complex.

According to a press release from the company, the expansion will include building a new 155,000 sqft facility and adding at least 50 new advanced manufacturing jobs over the next 3 years. The city of Concord and Cabarrus County will also be providing grants worth $449,540.

“We’re proud to call Concord home,” Hendrick President Marshall Carlson said. “Over the past several years, Hendrick Motorsports’ commitment to advanced manufacturing has allowed us to diversify our business and retain quality jobs for our teammates. This new facility on our campus will allow us to further expand our manufacturing work and create additional career opportunities for people with specialized skills. We appreciate the warm response to the project and look forward to growing our investment here in Cabarrus County.”

Founded in 1984 by Rick Hendrick, Hendrick Motorsports (HMS) has gone on to become the most successful NASCAR team of the modern era. They have accumulated a total of 14 Cup Series championships, earning their place in NASCAR history. Throughout their long history, the team has included some of the greatest NASCAR legends, such as Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Currently, the team is led by the young and talented drivers, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson.

Last year, their best finish was in fourth place, with their star driver Chase Elliott making it to the Championship 4 but an incident between him and Ross Chastain saw him slip down the order. Similarly, Kyle Larson couldn’t make it to the Championship 4. Despite this setback, HMS is confident they will be back on top of the field with the recent improvements they are making in their factory. The 2022 Cup Series season may not have gone the way Rick Hendrick wanted it to, but the future is looking brighter for the team.

Protect Your Memories Forever: The Importance of Cloud Storage for Personal Use

0

Cloud storage is a system that allows you to save files and folders on the internet. This type of data storage is very popular with both businesses and individuals.

Cloud storage is a great way to keep your most important data safe and easily accessible. It can be used for everything from personal photos to client presentations.

User-friendly and spacious

Cloud storage costs depend on a variety of factors, including the amount of data that you need to back up, the cloud provider, and the number of users. There are also different types of cloud storage plans, including per-user pricing and flat monthly cloud backup pricing.

While most cloud storage providers allow you to back up a small amount of data for free, once that limit is reached you will be charged a monthly or yearly cost to store your files on the cloud.

Using cloud storage for backing up your important files can be a great way to protect your memories forever. However, it is important to make sure that you are backing up only the most critical and sensitive data. This will prevent your data from becoming obsolete and will help you save money over the long term. Ensure that your data is stored in a secure and reliable environment by opting for a reputable cloud storage service.

An efficient way to access your files

Your memories, despite what the cynics might say, are one of your most valuable assets. They help you form the person you are today and provide a window into your past. Keeping them safe and sound will ensure you have the best possible chance of being there for your children and grandchildren.

The cloud is one of the most reliable and cost-effective places to store your data. It’s also the most efficient way to access your files from anywhere with an internet connection. This is especially true in a globalized world where employees are working from home on a daily.

To take full advantage of this technology, your company needs to adopt a robust cloud storage strategy. It’s smart because it will save your organization time, money, and resources. You’ll want a well-rounded solution that includes all the right features to make it easy for your team to share, edit and collaborate on a variety of file types.

No chance of hacking your data

Taking the time to organize your life’s important moments is a worthwhile endeavor. The process gives you a chance to look back and reflect on your life in ways you may not have done before and provides valuable insight into who you are today.

For many people, a cloud storage solution is the go-to option for storing important documents and media, and this is a good thing. Not only is cloud storage typically scalable to fit individual or business needs, but it is also application-agnostic for access across multiple devices.

The best cloud backup software is easy to use and comes with features like automatic backups, file sharing and mobile apps that allow you to sync your content between all of your devices. The top-notch solutions also boast some other benefits like secure data encryption and identity access management (IAM) tools, so you won’t have to worry about your photos getting hacked.
