RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corporation has finalized a $34 million 150,000-square-foot build-to-suit deal in York County to relocate and expand their headquarters, adding over 1,100 new jobs to the area.

The new headquarters will become an anchor of the new 350-acre Southbridge development, planned for over 4.5 million square feet of office space in dozens of buildings that would be mixed with apartments, retail, and a hotel.

It will be built on the grounds of the Old Knights Stadium in Fort Mill;

The residential mortgage company will be relocating from their current headquarters off Yorkmont Rd. in Charlotte;

The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits, as well as a $500,000 Set Aside grant to York County to assist with the costs of site preparation and building construction. The RoundPoint building is the first planned new construction of the Southbridge development since the 350-acre property was purchased by joint venture Lincoln Harris and Cato in 2014.

“Establishing our new operation in South Carolina is an important part of our vision and growth plan as we add new employees to transform our business and achieve our aggressive business goals,” said RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corporation CEO Kevin Brungardt. “We partnered with Savills Studley to explore markets within and outside of the region. The firm has been instrumental in facilitating the site selection and strategic planning process, coordinating partnerships with local and state government officials, and creating a custom and employee-focused space that could accommodate our expansion.”

RoundPoint was represented in negotiations by Corporate Managing Director Dan Woodley. Senior Managing Director Amy Johnson will serve as project manager for the interior buildout.

Founded in 2007, RoundPoint is a fully licensed agency and non-agency subservicer for commercial banks, credit unions, mortgage companies and hedge funds. The company currently services more than $75 billion of mortgage assets, which are comprised of its own assets and loans subserviced for many other types of investors worldwide. Licensed in all 50 states, RoundPoint is publicly rated by Fitch Ratings, Standard & Poor’s and Kroll Bond Rating Agency.

Their new York County headquarters facility is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2019.

Cornelius’ SPRiZZi Drink-Co. just announced a $100 million investment initiative from the government of Rugao, China, attributed to its environmentally friendly products. This investment will not only increase the production and efficiency of SPRiZZi Drink-Co., but it reinforces both parties’ values of expanding the variety of green products and technology through quality service to its users, decreasing the amount of un-recyclable waste and diminishing their carbon footprint.

Over the course of five years, the $100 million investment will include a 60,000 square foot manufacturing warehouse with an accompanied 5,000 square foot executive office space in Rugao, China. The investment will also take the form of tax credits, a cash fund for innovation awards, letters of credit to vendors, loans for equipment, tax breaks and various government cash grants. Funds will also be used for building a bullet-filling factory in Rugao as well. In addition to the international investor, SPRiZZi Drink-Co. has received funding from strategic partners for global licensings, angel investors and is currently in talks with several other partners and independent investors.

SPRiZZi Drink-Co. is attempting to challenge the wildly popular SodaStream countertop soda maker by offering “instant cold beverages made fresh and carbonated in seconds”.

The company currently operates out of a 118,000 square foot facility in Cornelius, NC.
