Who Finances a Sole Trader Business?

0

A sole trader, also known as a sole proprietor, is someone who owns and runs a business on their own. Therefore, a sole trader’s entitled to all profits and losses the trading acquires. The owner may be alone in managing the company or have employees.

By simply owning a shop on social media, one can already earn the title of a sole trader. However, for formality’s sake, what are the requirements for this venture? These are crucial to know not just for the sole trader but also for their customers and suppliers.

The requirements to acquire a sole trader license differ from each state. The requirements can be found on a website provided in the US government’s Small Business Administration program.

Funding Sources of a Sole Trader

Any business needs capital to operate. But before starting the journey, where do sole traders get their funding?

Personal Savings

Most sole traders will use their hard-earned personal money or savings to finance their business. They think that this is the best option other than incurring debt. Even so, experts often recommend getting a loan. They claim that it’s better to take advantage of the time launching a business with the help of a loan while having savings as a back-up.

Angel Investors

They are also called angel funders, seed investors, or private investors. These people are often those who have a high net worth or simply want to help the sole trader. Angel investors provide the capital needed to start the business because they trust the abilities and support the sole trader.

Usually, these people are close to the proprietor, such as their friends or family. The advantage of borrowing from these people is that they may lend money at zero interest rate. On the other hand, being unable to pay the money immediately may cause bad blood between relatives and close friends.

Formal Lending Institutions

These are the banks, insurance companies, loan associations, and other companies that purposely lend money to people. These are formal institutions, meaning they charge interest and may even require collateral for the sole trader’s loans. A loan application from these institutions is still subject to approval depending on various factors and can take time.

There are also online loans such as that of Payday Depot that offer fast financial solutions. Payday Depot has already helped many Americans in managing their finances by connecting sole traders to a suitable lender with only one business day to process an application.

Fighting through the pandemic doesn’t mean that someone should withhold starting their own business. With the right planning and capital, you can achieve your dream business amidst the breakdown in people’s social life and economic disturbance.

Top 5 Reasons to Use CBD Lotion

0

With the increasing popularity of cannabidiol (CBD), you may be wondering how you can get the most out of this compound for your body. This is where CBD lotion and other topicals come into play. Nowadays, CBD is a trendy ingredient that you can find in many skincare products. But what exactly is CBD lotion? Keep reading this article to learn more about this product and why you may want to try it.

What is CBD Lotion?

Primarily, CBD lotion refers to a topical cream that contains the phytocannabinoid cannabidiol, more commonly called CBD. Cannabinoids are a type of chemical compound named for the cannabis plant. Humans and animals do naturally produce cannabinoids within the body that interact with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which impact several important functions of the body such as sleep, appetite, and mood. Phytocannabinoids are a class of cannabinoids that are produced by cannabis plants like hemp and marijuana. CBD is alleged to have several beneficial properties for humans and animals alike.

CBD products can come with a variety of phytocannabinoids and other compounds found in cannabis like terpenes and vitamins depending on what kind of CBD is integrated in the product. Full- and broad-spectrum CBD are formulations of CBD oil that contain not only CBD but a wide variety of other chemical compounds found in cannabis, while CBD isolate is a distillation of only CBD. Any one of these three different formulations can be integrated into a CBD product, and any one of these formulations can deliver the potential benefits of cannabidiol. The main difference lies in whether other potentially beneficial components have been added as well.

Cannabidiol products are believed to help reduce inflammation and pain as well as help manage skin orders. CBD lotions belong to the umbrella of topical cannabidiol products, including creams, lip balms, salves, serums, and massage oils. Similar to lotion-based formulas, these products are manufactured for full-body moisturizing and thereby come with a wide range of potential benefits from maintaining healthy inflammatory function to supporting sensitive skin and treating skin orders.

When it comes to using CBD lotion, the process seems to be easy. Once the user identifies the exact location of pain or discomfort, they can apply this product around the area. While the application is similar to putting on a standard moisturizing lotion, it’s important to determine the right dosage necessary to provide the alleged therapeutic relief. This can be one of the things you should look for on the CBD market.

Why Should You Use CBD Lotion?

Now that you know what CBD lotion is, it’s time to get familiar with the reasons why you may want to try this cannabis-derived product. These can include:

  • Help Hydrate Dry Skin

There are many causes of dry skin: dehydration, showering in an extremely hot water, irritating skincare products, genetic predisposition, climate, etc. Regardless of the cause, dealing with dry skin is something you should take seriously to avoid potential complications that result in worsening skin problems. Dryness can also be a symptom of an underlying skin condition which can be painful to solve.

Thankfully, the use of CBD lotion may be a huge help. The interaction of the cannabinoid with the body’s ECS may help to rehydrate itchy and reddened skin and reduce inflammation.

  • Help Treat Skin Problems

Using CBD topicals may also help deal with certain skin conditions, including:

  • Acne: This is a common skin condition that develops when pores and hair follicles become clogged with dead skin cells and oil. This is where CBD lotion may come to the rescue. Since this cannabidiol-infused skincare product is full of essential fatty acids and the makeup of this compound is similar to the lipids in human skin, it moisturizes the skin by getting deeper under the pores. As a result, it may help treat this kind of skin issue.
  • Eczema: Another skin condition that may be treated by the use of CBD lotion is eczema. It’s an itchy, uncomfortable, and painful skin condition that cause chronic skin irritation and dryness. CBD topicals may help alleviate the pain and discomfort caused by eczema thanks to this product’s potential anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Burns and rashes: Due to CBD lotion’s moisturizing properties, it may also help treat burns and rashes.
  • Psoriasis: CBD may also help soothe the discomfort and pain brought by psoriasis, which is an inflammatory, autoimmune skin condition that affects millions of people. Thanks to CBD’s anti-inflammatory effects, this compound being explored as a natural alternative in treating and managing this skin condition.

As you can see, using a lotion filled with cannabidiol may help address the skin conditions mentioned above. But, if you want to ensure a more favorable outcome, find a legitimate CBD store that offers you with the best products. In most cases, companies with effective CBD advertising efforts can be more trustworthy than other options since they’re more confident about promoting their cannabis-related products to the general public.

  • Help Treat Wrinkles

Applying CBD topicals to your skin may also come with anti-aging benefits. Since cannabidiol is currently being researched and studied as a potential anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizer, a CBD-infused lotion may be a great addition to your anti-aging skincare regime.

Also, CBD lotion may promote oil production, which is why it may be beneficial for the prevention of dry skin as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. This is one of the reasons why using CBD topicals may help mitigate signs of aging.

  • Help Alleviate Arthritis-Related Pain

Arthritis is a health condition that is the leading cause of disability for most people. If you’re suffering from this problem, applying cannabidiol lotion to the site of discomfort may help you. By using this product directly to the skin, the CBD can quickly penetrate through the pores, thereby possibly providing quick pain alleviation. Just make sure to massage the right area of your body to increase the potential effectiveness of CBD topicals for easing arthritis-related pain.

  • Help Provide a Calming Feeling

Apart from addressing skin problems, using a CBD lotion may also be beneficial during massage as it may help alleviate aches and discomfort. Since massage is crucial in aiding relaxation and recovery, the soothing and healing effects of this skincare product may go a long way in promoting a calming feeling throughout this activity.

The Bottom Line

With the information presented above, there are many reasons why you should consider using CBD lotion. Because of this product’s alleged healing properties, it may be an excellent way to promote wellness and a perfect addition to your health care routine. However, you should also understand that CBD lotions aren’t created equal. If you want to take advantage of this topical’s potential benefits, conduct research first and make sure it’s the right product for your ailments.

Charlotte City Council Votes To Rename 9 City Streets Linked To Racist Leaders

0

The Charlotte City Council has just unanimously voted to rename 9 Charlotte streets that have ties to racism and white supremacy.

The streets were chosen by a 15-person commission made up of local Charlotte historians and community members. They started with a list of over 70 historic Charlotte roads and prioritized streets that were named after Confederate leaders and those involved in white supremacy movements of the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The city will now create a pilot program to “outline the process for changing street names, and support neighborhood efforts to petition name changes and install a memorial commemorating the deaths of Joe McNeely and Willie McDaniel, victims of the two documented lynchings in Charlotte.”

According to a press release by the city, these are the streets that will be renamed, along with the history of the people they were originally named after:

Jefferson Davis Street: During the Civil War, Jefferson Davis served as president of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865. By the 1880s, former Confederates saw him as a hero of the “Lost Cause” of the Confederacy. Jefferson had no extensive ties to Charlotte beyond retreating to the city during the last days of the Civil War and holding his final executive cabinet meeting at William Phifer’s home. There is a Jefferson Davis Street located in the Druid Hill community in west Charlotte.

West Hill Street: Daniel H. Hill was a Confederate officer who spent time before and after the Civil War in Charlotte. West Hill Street is named in his honor. The street is in uptown Charlotte and extends east from McNinch Street to Eldridge Street, just outside Bank of America Stadium.

Stonewall Street and Jackson Avenue: Military historians regard Thomas Jonathan “Stonewall” Jackson as the most gifted tactical commander in the Confederacy. His military exploits became legendary and were an essential element of the ideology of the “lost cause.” There are multiple streets named in honor of Stonewall Jackson. The most prominent is East Stonewall Street, located in uptown Charlotte. There is also a Stonewall Jackson Homes Drive located at 5751 Airport Drive off West Boulevard. According to a 1947 Charlotte News article, Jackson Avenue, located off East 10th Street directly across from Piedmont Open IB Middle School, is also named in honor of Stonewall Jackson.

Phifer Avenue: William Phifer, who was originally from Catawba and relocated to Charlotte in 1852, owned approximately 28 enslaved African Americans. Phifer Avenue connects North Tryon Street to North College Street between East Ninth and East 11th streets.

Aycock Lane: Aycock Lane is most likely named in honor of Charles Aycock, who, beginning in 1900, served as the state’s 50th governor. Aycock is remembered as the primary architect of the state’s white supremacy movement, which was responsible for disfranchising African Americans. The street is in a subdivision just south of Dilworth, off Scaleybark Road.

Barringer Drive: Brothers Paul B. Barringer and Osmand M. Barringer actively worked to advance ideals rooted in white supremacy. Paul became a leader in the field of “scientific” racism at the University of Virginia in the late 1800s, and Osmand was a leader in the local white supremacy club movement in Charlotte at the turn of the 20th century. Osmand also fought against the desegregation of public facilities in Charlotte in the 1950s. According to Osmand, Barringer Drive was named in his honor. The street is in west Charlotte. It extends south from West Boulevard, snaking across Remount Road and Clanton Road before coming to an end at Pressley Road.

Morrison Boulevard and Governor Morrison Street: Cameron A. Morrison was a prominent leader of the “Red Shirts,” the paramilitary wing of the state Democratic Party’s white supremacy campaign that worked to suppress and terrorize Black voters in North Carolina in the late 1890s. In 1920, Morrison successfully ran for governor of North Carolina on the platform that he fought gloriously for the cause of white supremacy. Morrison served as the state’s 55th governor and is commonly referred to as the “Good Roads Governor.” Under his leadership, the government systematically made use of Black convict labor to help build state roads. Morrison Boulevard and Governor Morrison Street are named in his honor.

Zebulon Avenue: Zebulon Baird Vance was North Carolina’s Confederate governor from 1862 through 1865. His reelection as governor in 1877 symbolized the return to power of slavery-era leaders. Zebulon Avenue is in the Smallwood community off Rozzelles Ferry Road.

North Carolina Ranks #3 Destination and Departure for Men after Divorce

0

Divorce, which can be a seismic life shift, often leads to a separation of finances and one party moving to a new home. According to U.S. Census Bureau data, 26% of women and 23% of men moved into a new home the same year they got divorced.

Some even moved out of state, perhaps for new career opportunities or proximity to support systems. MagnifyMoney researchers used the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey to analyze the number of men and women who were divorced in the 12 months prior to the survey and who moved in that same period.

According to the results, North Carolina was ranked as the 3rd most popular destination for divorced men and the 7th most popular destination for divorced women.

Charlotte Teen Named North Carolina’s Top Youth Volunteer of 2021

0

Katie Chai, 18, of Charlotte was named North Carolina’s top youth volunteer of 2021 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, America’s largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer service.

Katie will receive a $2,500 scholarship, a silver medallion and an invitation to the program’s virtual national recognition celebration in April, where 10 of the 102 State Honorees will be named America’s top youth volunteers of the year. Those 10 National Honorees will earn an additional $5,000 scholarship, a gold medallion, a crystal trophy for their nominating organization and a $5,000 grant for a nonprofit charitable organization of their choice.

Katie, a senior at Charlotte Latin School, helped start a grassroots effort to address the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) in her city by using 3D printers to make more than 100,000 face shields, which were ultimately distributed to health care workers across North Carolina and in 12 other states. As the daughter of two doctors, Katie was really worried about her parents’ safety when the COVID-19 pandemic struck in March of 2020. “Our quarantine dinner conversations mainly revolved around our communal and nationwide shortage of PPE,” she said. But one night her father showed her an article about engineers in Italy who were 3D printing parts for their respirators. Having taken some engineering classes in school, Katie wondered whether face shields could be made with her school’s 3D printer.

She immediately called her engineering teacher, who agreed to help. Within three days, they had printed and laser-cut their first face shield in the school’s engineering lab. Five days later, they delivered 40 shields to a local hospital. To ramp up production, Katie sought donations through GoFundMe and media interviews, drove around town to buy supplies, and began assembling shields with her family every night. As word of her project spread, more than 400 volunteers offered to help with the assemblies, and other high schools, universities, businesses and local engineers began producing shields with their own 3D printers. In a little over a month, Katie’s initiative raised more than $114,000 and delivered more than 106,000 face shields to protect healthcare workers.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, conducted annually by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), honors students in grades 5-12 for making meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service.

“We created the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards 26 years ago to highlight and support the work of young people taking on the challenges of a changing world – a mission that rings truer than ever given the events of last year,” said Charles Lowrey, Prudential’s chairman and CEO. “We are proud to celebrate the vision and determination of Spirit of Community’s Class of 2021, and all the ways they’re making their communities safer, healthier and more equitable places to live.”

NC Health Officials Reporting Drastic Drop In Flu Cases Due To Increased Safety Measures

0

The caution North Carolinians have taken in hand washing, mask wearing, and social distancing (the 3Ws) have helped to not only slow the spread of Covid, but also the flu, according to a new report by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS).

So far, there have only been 4 deaths from the flu reported to NCDHHS this season, that’s compared to 186 deaths last season, and over 200 deaths during the 2018-19 season. NC Medicaid has also seen a 98.2% reduction in Tamiflu claims.

“Reducing hospitalizations because of flu and other respiratory illness has been critically important to helping NC’s hospitals manage surges in COVID-19 cases,” said NCDHHS Secretary Mandy K. Cohen, M.D. “We must keep practicing preventative measures such as wearing a mask, waiting six feet apart and washing our hands so we can continue to help save lives.”

Keep up the good work North Carolina!

An Estimated 16.5 Million Americans Will Call In Sick After The Super Bowl

0

A study released by The Workforce Institute indicates that at least 16.5 million American employees will skip work today after Super Bowl 55, and at least 10.5 million Americans took the day off in advance.

The “Super Bowl 55 Fever Sidelines Employees” poll was taken online last week between Jan. 27-29.

The study specifically found that;

1 in 10 workers will skip work on Monday because of the Super Bowl.

  • 16.5 million Americans will skip and 10.5 million have already called in sick.
  • Another 7.5 million will show up late after the Super Bowl.
  • As high as 20 percent of employees ages 18-34 say they may not go to work on Monday because of the game.

Super Bowl 52 Fever may include fatigue, nausea, and football mania.

  • Fifteen percent of American employees have already called in sick the day after the Super Bowl at least once in their lives.
  • Being tired from staying up late watching the game was the top reason for both calling in sick (40 percent) and showing up late (41 percent) on Monday unannounced.
  • Drinking too much was also a key factor in unplanned absences, as 34 percent of people 21 and older admit to calling in sick on the Monday after the Super Bowl in years past because they were hungover, while 28 percent say a hangover caused them to be late.

Your boss isn’t immune to Super Bowl Fever, either.

  • Of those who plan to watch Super Bowl 55 that identify as a manager or boss with the authority to approve employee time-off requests, 29 percent say they may miss work on Monday, too – 18% have already taken off.
  • 35% of managers have already missed work or shown up late to work on Super Bowl Monday at least once in their lifetime.

Top 11 Things to Consider when Choosing a College

0

When the time to go to college comes, you might feel slightly overwhelmed. What to do first? How to start? What to do next? Should you follow your dream and apply to a top-tier college to follow your dream, or is a less risky and cheaper variant in the neighborhood better? Write Essay For Me experts are former students knowing the troubles of college selection. So, they have prepared a quick checklist for you to consider when starting to think about college.

Top Things to Consider Before Choosing a College

The key issues that determine an educational establishment’s choice are the financial aspect (cost of living, tuition, scholarship options, part-time job opportunities) and the educational aspect (programs that the college covers). Moreover, you can include the career prospects and opportunities into the equation. Here you go with the top X college choice considerations.

Cost of education

Higher education is costly today, so many families are urged to choose between educating their kids and buying a house. Thus, it would be best if you considered your family’s financial possibilities before applying to college. It’s better to discuss the prospects with your parents frankly so that you treat all options realistically. But keep in mind the student loan option as well; you can level up the financial ceiling of education cost by getting a loan and paying it off after graduation.

Cost of living

The total cost of living includes the price of your accommodation, food, the use of public transportation, eating out, buying the essential supplies and clothing, etc. Depending on the city’s size and popularity, the cost of living differs widely. Consequently, it’s better to fit your family budget with the average cost of living in your place of study, not to suffer from making ends meet every month.

Scholarships

The availability of scholarships and grants is a serious advantage of many educational establishments. If you are a talented student and have exceptional skills in some areas, you can quickly get financial assistance from the college or the government. The best about it is that you don’t have to pay it off (unlike the loan), receiving a chance to study for free or with a huge discount.

Part-time employment

If you live on a campus located far from the central city infrastructure, you may find it challenging to travel to and from work after classes. So, it’s better to take the distance and ease of transportation into account when planning to work and study in some place.

Programs covered

Programs that colleges cover are the core point to consider. If you’re passionate about STEM, look for colleges with strong STEM programs and famous professors. If you’re more after liberal arts, search for colleges specializing in this sphere. Some students want to get prestigious education in a reputable educational organization without caring much about the program type. In this case, you should focus on this criterion in your search. Options of studying abroad and alumni networking can also make a difference.

Diversity of the student body

For ethnically or socially diverse students, the culture of diversity (the real one, not official) can be a decisive factor. This information can be derived from college forums. The atmosphere of diversity can be felt upon a college visit. So, if you are the one focusing on diversity as a vital contributor to your choice of the study place, take a tour around the campus, talk to students, and make a weighed decision.

Internships

Assignment Business Law experts caution that it’s time to start thinking about career prospects right after getting to college. Therefore, the availability of internships is a strong plus for students wishing to build a portfolio and resume long before they graduate.

Student exchange programs

If you plan to use the precious college years not only to obtain a diploma but also to see the world, it’s wise to consider colleges granting study abroad programs. In this way, you can spend a semester or two in different countries without losing course credits, meeting new people, and accumulating valuable experience.

Extracurricular activities

Colleges are ripe with extracurricular activity offers, but you still have plenty of choices in this regard. Keep in mind that the selection is broad, and you don’t need to sacrifice anything to follow your dreams and do what you like.

Location

No matter what some students think, the college’s location is super-important. First, it needs to be located comfortably in terms of travel, so that you can come to visit your family whenever you wish. Second, the location should be convenient for you in terms of time zone and climate, and the national cuisine. There is no sense trying to accommodate to an entirely new environment if you have tons of colleges with similar features in a much more convenient place.

Infrastructure

Finally, keep in mind the infrastructure of your college in relation to other places and amenities you have planned to use. It’s quite inconvenient to try to get from one place to another if the car and public transportation are poorly arranged. Think of your life after classes; are you sure you want to spend all the time on campus?

With these tips from writemyessayfor.me experts in mind, you can start planning a transition from school to college more smoothly, making informed decisions, and not feeling sorry afterward. Good luck!

10 Factors That Make Online Casinos Reliable

0

With gathering restrictions and social distancing still in place, more and more people turn to the internet for leisure and entertainment.

Among the most popular destinations are online casinos.

However, playing online could mean people have to disclose sensitive data and information such as their credit card or bank details.

There’s also a concern on whether the games are fair and square or if players really have a chance of winning.

Thankfully, there are easy ways to measure the reliability of an online casino.

Here are 10 factors to consider.

1. Licensing

The online casino industry is highly regulated. Different states have different policies on online gambling.

North Carolina is among the few states that do not allow any form of gambling, whether online or physical.

Only online social casinos are allowed in North Carolina. These sites offer casino games and slot machines but players don’t have to risk money, although they can still win cash prizes.

A quick check on the regulating authority’s website should help players verify the licensing status of their preferred casino.

2. Certified Game Content Software

Reputable virtual casinos such as this site only use original products from leading game content providers.

RNGs (random number generators) from reliable casinos are frequently tested and verified by independent agencies to ensure that online casinos are unable to manipulate the games.

Additionally, these companies calculate the payout percentage or how much money is paid back to players. Such information is readily available on the casino’s website, for the benefit of players.

3. Data Security

Every player needs to be assured that their personal information is kept secure.

Reliable online casinos utilize cutting-edge technologies, such as SSL certificates and encryptions to protect user data.

An easy way to check whether a website is secure is to see if there’s a padlock sign displayed on the browser.

The padlock icon means that the site uses SSL encryption and offers safe banking options.

4. Quality Customer Service

Issues can arise anytime. A reliable online casino looks after the convenience of its customers. Whenever players have questions and disputes, a live customer representative is available to address their concerns.

Accessing customer service shouldn’t be difficult. Reputable casinos employ different modes of contacting their support teams, such as via chat, phone call, or email.

5. Fair Bonuses

Welcome bonuses are a way for online casinos to attract players.

These promotional offers come with a wagering requirement, which varies from 20x – 50x. NO reputable casino will ask a player to wager their deposit and bonus 100x.

6. Game Options

Reputable online casinos provide players a wide range of choices. They have multiple online slot machines, ranging from classic games to new versions that are filtered into different sections to make it easy for players to pick.

7. Verified Payment Methods

Reliable online casinos make it easy and safe for players to bet by allowing them to send payments in different ways (credit cards, debit cards, e-wallets, PayPal, etc.)

Creating an account is standard practice. But some reputable casinos will ask users to create a security question or create a two-factor authentication.

8. Payment Reliability

Reliable online casinos don’t just offer trusted payment methods. They also ensure that payouts and withdrawals are quick.

In a survey on the trustworthiness of online casinos, 51% of players consider reliable withdrawals and payouts the top indicator of a website’s reputation.

Players need not be waiting for days, weeks, or months to cash out their funds or wins.

9. Responsible Gambling

Trustworthy online casinos promote responsible gambling. They have a dedicated section on their website that informs players about playing responsibly.

Additionally, they implement practices and use tools that prevent irresponsible gaming, such as opt-outs, cool-down periods, deposit limits, and wagering limits.

10. Positive Player Reviews

No one can attest more to the reliability of an online casino than real players.

Reading reviews from former players helps newcomers gauge the reliability of the company.

Aside from the reviews published on the casino’s website, players should also check out independent reviews.

Final Thoughts

Reliable online casinos do not only give fun and entertainment to players, but they also give them peace of mind.

All these factors make online casinos trustworthy and anyone wishing to try joining one should take time checking whether the website meets all the criteria.
