5 Ways to Liven Up Your Home Dinner Party

0

It can be hard to get together with family and friends, no matter how much you cherish them. With the world as it is and between home, school, caring for children and elderly parents, family gatherings can seem fleeting and infrequent.

When you get together with friends and family, you’ll want something that you can all remember.

So here are five ways to liven up your home dinner party to make those memories extra special.

1. Order the Best Ingredients

The best-cooked meal is only as good as the ingredients. So when you’re preparing a meal for a special occasion, make sure you source the best quality ingredients you can find.

Look for the freshest produce and make things from scratch rather than buying ready-made products. Opt for locally-sourced food, herbs, and spices and avoid industrial-farmed meats to ensure you get the best quality. Why not splash out and go for a live lobster delivery or other freshly-caught fish delivered locally to impress your friends?

2. Make the Fanciest Cocktails

Sure, you can settle for making a gin and tonic or a glass of white wine as an aperitif for when your guests arrive. Or, you could consider something a little more exotic, such as pink tequila.

Get your cocktail shaker out and whip something up that you’d expect at a 5-star hotel, like a strawberry daiquiri, a dry martini, or a pineapple sunrise.

Don’t forget to serve up your creation in your fanciest glassware to add that extra bit of excitement to the tasting experience.

3. Put Your Culinary Skills to the Test

You can’t impress your friends at a dinner party without making impressive food, so pull out all the stops and whip up a stylish dish fit for a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Choose a recipe that suits lots of servings so your guests can have as much as they like. Your focus should be on the presentation as much as the taste.

Don’t panic if you’re not a master in the kitchen — there are plenty of tasty recipes you can make that don’t demand extensive culinary expertise.

4. Make a Family Favourite

While your friends and family will be impressed with your culinary skills, there’s nothing better than a family favorite.

Make something your whole family will love, whether it’s your mom’s old recipe for your favorite chocolate cake or the roast meal you always had as a family when you were growing up.

You’ll be sure to put lots of smiles on faces as you rekindle old memories of times spent together.

5. Organize a Performance

You’ve now reached the end of the meal. Your guests are full up to the eyeballs with your wonderful cooking. Now it’s time to round off the night with something special.

Organize a fun performance that all your guests will appreciate, such as live music, dancing, a karaoke night, or a quiz night.

Maybe you’re a talented singer or dancer, or you have a talented colleague or neighbor. Invite them round for a performance your whole family can join in with that’ll make the evening a night to remember and have your family singing all the way home.

Final Thoughts

Remember, ultimately, your dinner party is about making your friends and family happy, and everything you organize should have this in mind.

It’s difficult to please everyone, so it’s best to come up with a range of options people can choose from, including some firm family favorites.

Finally, don’t forget to plan ahead! Not all your ingredients will be available in the local supermarket, and some recipes will require an overnight marinade, so make sure you leave yourself enough time, so you don’t end up rushing around on the day.

Modern Millionaires’ Lead-Flipping Course Review

0

The Modern Millionaires is a training program designed to teach you how to flip leads and make money online.

The course promises to reach anyone, be it a complete beginner or an experienced internet marketer. And while I’m sure there is some good stuff in here… is Modern Millionaires worth your hard-earned cash?

Is it really dropping knowledge or just blowing smoke? Read on this Modern Millionaires review if you want to find out!

Modern Millionaires’ lead-flipping methodology

The lead-flipping system is a part of the Modern Millionaires training program, and is actually the business you’ll be building if you decide to join the program.

Their lead-flipping methodology is really easy and simple to understand. They sell high-quality leads that businesses need to get more clients.

Now, what really separates them from everybody else is the fact that they sell leads as a service, not as a product.

How does Modern Millionaires’ lead-flipping method work?

It’s actually pretty simple:

You generate leads for local businesses and sell them to the relevant business. That means that instead of a traditional salesperson going out there to sell services and products to customers, lead flippers use the Internet and social media platforms to get in touch with potential clients and provide them with information they need.

However, unlike traditional salespeople who offer their own services or products, lead flippers don’t sell anything themselves but simply pass on information to local businesses.

The amount of money that you can make depends on your skills as an entrepreneur, your experience and your ability to network with other people in the industry. The most successful agents, like Abdul Samad and Chance Anthony (both founders of The Modern Millionaires program) have made millions of dollars in profits by working just 10 hours per week.

In general, lead-flipping businesses are attractive because it’s easy to start and maintain them.

You can operate from home and manage your business during evenings and weekends. And unlike typical freelance work, you don’t have to compete against others for jobs or worry about being replaced by a machine or a computer program.

Modern Millionaires Course Review: How to get started

The Modern Millionaires course takes you from A-Z and covers everything you need to know to start generating leads.

The program is packed with valuable information, hands-on advice and tips that reveal how to generate leads for local businesses using Google Adwords and Facebook Ads. It makes it really easy to follow along, whether you’re new to lead generation or have some experience already.

The video course breaks down into four modules:

Module 1—Introduction:

In this module, you’ll learn about who the brains behind Modern Millionaires are and what their goals are for the course. They will also tell you a bit more about themselves, their experience and why they decided to start creating videos. This module is a good introduction to the program and gives you a high-level overview of what’s to come.

Module 2—How To Get Your First Client:

In this module, you’ll learn how to find your first client using the Modern Millionaires’ cold email templates, and how to choose the right one for your business. You’ll also get +70 hot local niches to help you narrow down your business right from the start, and start building your agency site.

Module 3 (A, B &C)—How To Get Your First Lead:

In this module, you will learn how to create an effective offer that people can’t say no to. You’ll be shown how to drive traffic using Google AdWords, Facebook Ads and other platforms that harness the power of pay-per-click advertising.

Module 4—How To Close The Deal:

In this module, you’ll learn about lead nurturing and follow-up techniques as well as how to scale and automate your business once you’ve consolidated it. This part of the course provides valuable insight into how you can use modern marketing techniques to keep the zeros rolling into your bank account.

Is The Modern Millionaires the right program for you?

The Modern Millionaires training program is for you if you’re a motivated entrepreneur who wants to build a solid, easily scalable online business.

You need to be willing to invest the time and effort required to learn how to build a business from scratch and become successful. So this course is not for anyone looking for an easy, fast way to make money online. It’s a work-in-progress with no shortcuts.

Modern Millionaires is also not for you if you want to promote or sell any of our products or services. They created it so they could teach people how they built their businesses, but they offer no help or support for specific products or services that you might wanna sell.

The only thing this Modern Millionaires program is going to do is help you build your own lead-flipping business – one step at a time – by showing you exactly what works and what doesn’t work.

The Bottom Line On Modern Millionaires

The Modern Millionaires training program features a step-by-step training course that teaches you not only how to make money through lead flipping, but also the best way to scale this business into an online business that brings in six-figure revenue.

The content of the Modern Millionaire’s course is very well structured and easy to follow. I’m a very visual person and I like to see things in action, so I especially enjoyed the videos that show the real numbers and how they work.

Now, while the techniques shown in the training program are simple and easy to understand, it is imperative to take your time and grasp all that is being taught.

Trial and error is what leads most people to success when it comes to making money online.

There are no shortcuts. It takes time for most people to learn how to make real money with an internet business.

The good thing about Modern Millionaires though, is that it teaches you a solid method for building a lead generation business, and once you get the hang of it, it can run on autopilot and generate revenue for you in the same way as any other high-profitable business would do.

You just need to be willing to put in the work at first so that your lead-flipping machine can pay itself off later on down the road!

NSYNC’s Lance Bass Joins Charlotte Grocery Start-Up ‘Shopii’

0

Iconic boy band singer Lance Bass of NSYNC just became a major investor in a small grocery start-up called ‘Grocery Shopii’, based in the Charlotte suburb of Davidson. The multi-million dollar investment was made on today’s episode of the realty show Unicorn Hunters (similar to Shark Tank).

“Grocery Shopii is a company that I believe in because it’s changing the way grocery shopping is done, leveraging data and machine learning to provide value to grocers and convenience to people who love to cook- like me,” said NSYNC’s Lance Bass. “I am thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking series that is transforming the way founders get funding and people invest. It’s so gratifying to see founders pitch their companies to millions of potential investors around the world who now have the opportunity to learn, invest, and potentially build wealth.”

Grocery Shopii is a B2B shopping platform that allows small and mid-size grocery stores to offer seamless, white-label integration into their existing eCommerce platforms. A combination of machine learning and automation allows consumers to meal plan and grocery shop with personalized recipe recommendations from top bloggers and culinary authorities.

“The idea behind Grocery Shopii is to meet consumers where they are — which is searching online for recipes before grocery shopping — while helping independent grocers combat cart abandonment and other pitfalls of the online shopping experience,” said Katie Hotze, Founder and CEO of Grocery Shopii. “We’ve harnessed machine learning and thoughtful automation to help deliver personalized recipes and ingredient suggestions, making shopping for groceries online more convenient and faster than ever.”

Understanding the Relationship Between SMEs and ADFS

0

You might sometimes hear the abbreviation SME in the business world. SME stands for small and mid-sized enterprises. In other words, these are business entities that maintain assets and revenues below a particular threshold. They usually only have a limited number of employees as well.

You might also hear the term ADFS. That stands for active directory federation services. This is a feature and a web service that’s part of the Windows Server Operating System. It allows companies to share information outside of their network. It authenticates any potential users by assigning them usernames and passwords.

What do these two notions have to do with one another? We will talk about how they connect in this article.

SMEs Sometimes Stay that Size by Choice

When you look at the issue of whether SMEs need ADFS, there’s something noteworthy you should keep in mind. Some small or medium-sized enterprises, or smaller companies, to put it another way, stay that size by choice. They might prefer not to grow any bigger than they are because that growth comes with certain issues that the company won’t have to deal with if they stay a particular size.

For instance, say that you have a company that designs websites for businesses. It has a few employees and takes on a certain number of contracts at one time.

It’s doing steady business. The owner does not want to get much bigger because that will involve dealing with more clients, hiring more employees, and dedicating more time to keeping everything running. That might not be the most desirable prospect.

Small and medium-sized enterprises can sometimes avoid certain regulatory bodies and IT ventures as well. They might not want to expand unchecked. All of this factors in when a company tries to decide whether they need ADFS or not. They might want to stay small precisely because they feel they can avoid using ADFS if they do so.

Can a Small or Medium-Sized Company Get Away with Not Using ADFS?

This brings up the question of whether small or medium-sized businesses can get away with not using ADFS as part of their daily operations. Opinions vary on that issue.

It’s safe to say that what most people call small or medium-sized companies make up the global economy’s backbone. There are hundreds of millions of them. They want to be productive and satisfy customer requirements. They also need to meet any organizational objectives while utilizing proper security solutions.

An ever-growing threat landscape exists, and these business entities must protect customer, employee, and company data. It’s safe to say that all businesses need IAM to do this. IAM stands for identity and access management. ADFS falls into this general category.

Other Options Exist Now Besides ADFS

For years, the answer to the question of whether most small and medium-sized companies could get away with not using ADFS was no. SMEs used this system because it allowed them to federate on-premises identities to any third-party applications or networks.

Now, however, cloud-based services exist, and they’re growing ever more popular. A distributed global workforce also exists that the pandemic increased. This has caused some small and medium-sized companies to notice some undeniable problems with ADFS. It’s accurate to say that some of them feel like they don’t necessarily need to use it anymore.

What’s Wrong with ADFS?

Many companies, even the small and medium-sized ones that don’t necessarily want to get any bigger, still use ADFS, even if it’s no longer the gold standard in the IAM field. They also recognize its limitations, though.

Those limitations include a potentially high cost as compared to some other cloud-based options. Security issues do exist as well.

There are also ADFS complexities that only highly-experienced IT professionals can handle. Some of these small and medium-sized companies have tighter budgets, and they don’t want to keep an IT pro on staff at all times. They would have to pay them top dollar.

The Main Takeaway

The main point is that some companies are getting away from ADFS, especially the smaller and medium-sized ones. Is that a good idea? Not every IT professional you ask will agree on the answer.

Most of them would concur that SSO’s future is cloud-based solutions. Some exist already, and various companies are developing next-generation ones.

Companies that are small or medium-sized now, but want to get bigger, might fall back on ADFS at some point because that’s a proven business model. Despite the potential problems we mentioned, if a business has enough money and IT resources to combat any security problems, they might still use ADFS because it’s what the information technology industry knows.

ADFS acts as a single sign-on tool, but there are now other ways to do that. Organizations that want to authenticate their users can implement other solutions and discard ADFS if they no longer want it. Accessing off-premises resources is no longer as complex as it once was, and there are several viable ways to do it.

Modern cloud services and partner organization apps can work just as well as ADFS, according to some IT pros. ADFS uses a claims-based authentication framework that utilizes a particular markup language, called SAML. It stands for security assertion markup language.

It used to be that anyone learning IT needed to know all about that language. Now, some in that field don’t care about it as much because they know they can get a company to hire them even without that knowledge.

In short, it’s up to every small and medium-sized company whether they want to use ADFS or whether they’d prefer to go in another direction. If the owner or whoever’s in charge of the business knows about IT, they might have strong feelings one way or the other.

If this smaller company hires an IT professional and asks them about ADFS, it’s no longer a certainty what the answer will be. That’s a huge change, and it represents a significant industry shakeup.

Are Gambling Apps Safe? Best Tips for 2022

0

Legalizing sports betting has been the priority of many states since 2018, when the Supreme Court struck off PASPA. New Jersey, which sponsored the bill to end PASPA, was the first state to legalize sports betting.

Delaware soon followed and within one year, sports betting was legal in North Carolina. For clarity, the Old North permitted in-person betting in 2019. However, there are plans to legalize mobile betting in 2022.

Wait a minute. Is mobile betting safe? How can you protect your personal information and money while betting online?

Gambling Apps Encrypt your Data

By law, all legal gambling apps must encrypt your data through modern encryption techniques. Most of them use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, which is a Google-approved technique for securing data while it travels between servers.

If you install apps through Google and Apple Store, you’ve most probably used an SSL encrypted app. On browsers, the technology is confirmed by the presence of a locked padlock sign on the address bar.

SSL encryption aside, gambling apps must follow strict data-protection laws. What’s more, they must empower you with password protection tools to keep your account safe. The best apps use a lot more security tools, all of which safeguard your personal information.

Legit and Trustworthy

As mentioned, the country is moving towards legal sports betting. This means finding a legitimate and trustworthy gambling app is easier than ever before. This is particularly true if you live in a state where mobile betting is legal.

New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, New York, Delaware and Oregon are some examples of states with legal mobile betting. In the Old North, you have two options for betting on sports online.

On the one hand, you can wait until later in 2022 for legislators to permit gambling apps or you can alternatively search for offshore gambling apps. According to sportslens.com, it is always possible to gamble at overseas-based apps before NC finally permits state-licensed apps.

Audited Games and Software Providers

If a gambling app is licensed, chances are it provides audited games from respected software providers. You see, gambling regulators don’t just vet the casinos and sportsbooks. They also audit software developers—the companies which create your favorite slots and table games.

Besides auditing, there’s reputation. Every gambler looks for fair, high-quality games. If a company fulfills these expectations, their games become popular. If it has an unfair game, its reputation suffers.

Presently, IGT and Scientific Games are the biggest software providers based in the US. However, there are a lot more developers in Europe and around the world. NetEnt, Evolution, Betsoft, Microgaming and Amaya Gaming are some of the biggest brands in this category.

To expound more, find apps with a variety of games. Look out for slots, video poker, blackjack, baccarat, bingo, roulette and progressive jackpots. If you love table games, ensure a gambling app offers live software: this will allow you to gamble against human opponents instead of bots.

Secure and Respected Payment Providers

Gone are the days when wire transfer was the only way you could deposit money at gambling sites. In this age of payment apps, you can transact using safe and trustworthy payment apps, credit cards and cryptocurrencies.

Digital wallets and credit cards are particularly beneficial when gambling through offshore apps. First, companies like PayPal, Visa and Google Pay work with legit merchants. Secondly, they have refund options.

If you deposit money to a casino which turns out to be a scam, you can ask PayPal or your credit card company for a refund. With PayPal, you can enable One Touch to entrust PayPal with your personal information. This also eliminates the need to reveal your financial data to every casino you join.

Best Tips for Gambling Securely in 2022

It’s true—you can now find a legit and safe gambling app in the US. But how do you protect yourself from scams and hackers while betting online?

  • Pick a Top-rated App

You probably read reviews and check ratings before using online service providers. Follow the same principle for gambling online. Pick a top-rated app because it means people out there trust it. Besides trust, top-rated apps tend to provide satisfactory services, from payout speed to customer service.

  • Secure your Account

After you identify a safe gambling app, create an account and secure it with a strong password. Also, add two-factor authentication. Securing your account is compulsory at most gambling apps, anyway.

But ensure you use strong passwords to keep your data and money safe. Two-Factor Authentication adds a layer of protection from hackers—they wouldn’t login your account even if they breached your password.

  • Follow a Budget

When it comes to gambling, it’s recommended to follow a budget. Gambling can be enticing. But if you have a budget, you’ll know how much to spend every time you log into your account. Word to the wise: create your budget out of your miscellaneous expenses. In other words, it should come last after deducting money for bills and savings.

  • Choose a Credit Card over a Debit Card

Some countries like the UK prohibit gamblers from using credit cards at casinos and betting sites. They say it prevents people from accumulating gambling debt. That’s alright. But using a credit card has its benefits—security wise.

In case you lose your credit card to a fraudster, they can only use the money in your credit card account. In many cases, you can also qualify for a refund from your creditor. Unfortunately, debit cards are linked to your bank account. If they get lost, someone could wipe out your account instantly.

  • Beware of Bonus Scams

One of the best things about gambling online is that you can claim bonuses and free bets. These promotions can help you play your favorite casino games free of charge. Interestingly, you can cashout your bonus profits.

That being said, bonuses are the fodder of many gambling scams. Beware of these scams and avoid them. For example, don’t accept bonuses not from a recognized casino. Also, if the offer is too good, it’s probably a scam.

Alliance Just Closed On 2 New Massive Apartment Projects in Charlotte

0

It’s a jam-packed end of the year for Alliance Residential Company in the Charlotte market.

The company just closed on two more property purchases in South End and in University City.

The Boulevard, A Broadstone Community: Alliance purchased 2.16 acres at 2408 South Boulevard. The 283-unit luxury apartment community will include studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments averaging 797 square feet each and be ready for initial occupancy in early 2024. The community will feature outdoor fitness spaces, individual co-work spaces, 24/7 Luxer One package system, resort-style pool, outdoor kitchen and grill areas, a dog run, electric vehicle car charging stations, and a clubroom. In a nod to the neighborhood’s reputation as a food and craft brew destination and the project’s jazz age design inspiration, the community will also feature a resident speakeasy-style lounge.

Prose McCullough Station: Alliance purchased 2.92 acres at 8430 N. Tryon Street. The 279-unit apartment community is steps from the LYNX Blue Line light rail station it’s named for, and is the first property in Charlotte under the Prose brand. Prose is Alliance’s new housing concept that creates attainable homes within close proximity to high growth employment corridors. The community will be a five-story, wrap-style building including approximately 60% one-bedroom units and 40% two-bedroom units. Community amenities will include a 24-hour fitness facility, resort-style pool, outdoor lounges and grilling stations, pet park, co-working space, and structured parking.

These new apartment projects will be Alliance Residential Company’s seventh and eighth project in Charlotte. Earlier this month the company announced it closed on the acquisition of 2.1 acres of land on the North Davidson Corridor for the development of Broadstone Craft. In August 2021, the company welcomed residents to Broadstone Ayrsley in Southwest Charlotte, and in May 2021 closed on the acquisition of land in Optimist Park for the development of Broadstone Optimist Park. In December 2020, Alliance Residential Company opened Broadstone Lemmond Farm between Charlotte and Mint Hill, and in July 2020 closed on the acquisition of 10.8 acres in North Charlotte for the development of Broadstone Highland Creek, which is expected to open in the coming weeks.
