This Magical Checklist of 5 Key Points Ensures Your Relationship Is Intact!

0

Relationships are as accessible and as complicated as we see them. Sometimes they happen when we are least prepared, and other times we look for an ideal partner to fill that vacant space in our lives.

A healthy relationship faces many ups and downs, successes and failures, inclination, and declination. Still, they take it all as a learning experience to become better partners, and that is what keeps your relationship everlasting and evergoing. Easier said than done, but it’s true. Trust, respect, understanding are the body of a relationship.

In contrast, sex and intimacy is the soul, trying creative sex positions with your partner regularly like missionary style deepens your relationship, keeping you healthy. A bond is a lifetime investment if you are serious about it, the more you invest in your relationship, the more fruitful it turns to be.

How long has it been since you took her out on a romantic date and appreciated his efforts towards your relationship? Don’t even remember, right?

That is where the irony lies; in the beginning, the amount of pain you take to bring your partner close, lately, you take it for granted and forget to offer those small gestures that kept you intact for so long.

Here’s a quick checklist to assure that your relationship is still flowing smoothly and in case not, follow it once again and bring back the lost spark to keep your relationship glowing.

  1. YOU FEEL INCOMPLETE WITHOUT EACH OTHER

Yes, it still happens. After years of being together in a romantic relationship, if you stay away from each other, you still feel incomplete without your partner. You always wait for hours for your partner to get free from work to listen to your partner’s voice and discuss each other’s day. Your interest in each other is as fresh as it was on the first day you met.

  1. YOU FREELY EXPRESS YOUR SEXUAL DESIRES TO EACH OTHER

Your bedroom is where you feel the closest to one another. Intimacy keeps a relationship young, and you both still feel the same desire for each other after years. You are open to experience new sex positions and share your fantasies. Full body contact sex like missionary style involves a lot of intimacy and comprehensive eye contact. You feel free to express your madness inside the bedroom, and your partner feels the same towards you.

  1. YOU ARE ALWAYS READY TO GO OUT OF THE WAY FOR YOUR PARTNER

After so many years, you don’t hesitate to keep your partner’s priorities above you. You still share the same; in fact, there is an increased sense of zeal to understand, compromise, and prioritize your partner’s needs. You are willing to go out of your way to keep the commitment towards your partner.

  1. YOU RESPECT AND TRUST EACH OTHER

Whether it’s friendship or relationship, all bonds built on trust and respect, without them, you have no base to your relationship. Learn to respect and trust one another. Mutual respect and trust act as a carrier in relation. The core foundation of a relationship lies in trust and respect towards your partner. Your connection and trust towards each other grow with each passing day. Without respect and trust, you can never experience a happy relationship.

  1. YOU EXPRESS YOUR FEELINGS TO EACH OTHER OFTEN

It’s often observed that the words that helped you come close to one another are left behind, and as couples, you are so busy in your individual lives that you hardly even said “I Love You” to your partner in recent times. As couples, you both expect a lot from the other half, but are you giving your partner enough if you can’t even express your emotions towards your partner. Appreciating your partner and saying you love them often will make a bond even more reliable.

CONCLUSION

To keep a flower growing, we need to water it daily. Similarly, to keep your relationship healthy and long-lasting, you need to take small initiatives daily that lead to a blossoming relationship for a lifetime. Sex and relationships follow hand in hand, and better sex life is the foundation of the growing best relationships ever.

How Can Playing Irish-Themed Slots Help You to Tap into Your Irish Heritage?

0

Charlotte has a vast number of residents from Ireland or of Irish descent, despite being more than 3,700 miles away. There are probably plenty of residents there who don’t even know they have Irish heritage as well. American and Irish culture are different in many ways, but it is still easy to embrace the traditions of the Emerald Isle even when you are far away. Along with joining Irish groups and communities which host events, there are a number of enjoyable online casino games that encapsulate the most famous themes associated with Ireland.

Charlotte Has a Large Portion of People of Irish Descent

Between 1820 and 1930, it is estimated that around 4.5 million people from Ireland made the journey to live in the land of opportunity. A vast majority of these ended up on the east coast, as this is the first point of call by ship. With North Carolina being fairly close to that coast, it’s no surprise that a large number of Irish people took up residence in Charlotte. Indeed, Charlotte is listed among the top US cities with the highest percentage of Irish ancestry at 8.4 percent. The highest is Boston, Massachusetts, with 21.5 percent.

For people of Irish heritage in Charlotte, there are ways to get a taste of the culture. For instance, the Charlotte Irish Connection has been around for more than 30 years and acts as a home away from home for Irish nationals and those of Irish descent. The non-profit organization regularly plans and arranges events associated with Irish culture in Charlotte and the surrounding areas in North Carolina. This includes celebrating Irish music, dancing, language, and Gaelic games such as Gaelic football and hurling.

Irish Jackpot Games Encompass the Magic of the Emerald Isle

Aside from joining a community, there are other ways to get a taste of Irish heritage. These can all be accessed easily online. One thing which Ireland has long been linked to is the concept of luck, and many symbols which are thought to bring good fortune originated in the country. These include things like the shamrock, the Celtic cross, and the lucky horseshoe. For this reason, it should come as no surprise that a number of popular online gambling games have used these themes as a way to attract players.

Lucky Clover, for example, is the name of one of the slots that have been inspired by Irish culture. It’s a jackpot casino game and it’s available to play at Royal Panda. The game, which was developed by Blazesoft, features jolly jigs, pots of gold, and a lot of green. Players can choose to play for free, or opt to stake money to play the jackpot version, where wins can exceed $150.

Players who are in search of Irish-themed slots like these will find plenty of other options as well. The Rainbow Riches series from Barcrest is one of the best-known slots on the market, and it features pots of gold at the end of a rainbow. There are also other options like Wish Upon a Leprechaun and Slots O’ Gold. For people in search of higher jackpots, Irish Riches Megaways is known for its large payouts.

There are plenty of ways to embrace your Irish heritage if you are away from the country and living in Charlotte. As well as joining a community of other expats and descendants of Irish nationals, you can get a sense of the famous luck of the Irish by playing the Irish-themed online jackpot games.

How To Spot A Bed Bug Infestation And Then Get Rid Of Them

0

Since Charlotte was ranked as the buggiest city in the US, it only makes sense that there would be a need to understand bed bugs. More specifically, how to know when you have an infestation. And then what to do about it.

When people think of bed bugs, they imagine that they come from dirty houses or from people that don’t take care of things. The reality is that they can be found even in four star hotels in NYC just as easily as in Charlotte.

In this article, I will go over just what it means to have bed bugs and what you can do to get rid of them.

Yes, they bite

Unfortunately, bed bugs are not little harmless critters that you just would rather not have around even though they don’t do anything. The reality is that they do actually bite. And those bites may not be noticed at first, but eventually they will itch.

In fact, many times they will be mistaken for mosquito bites. If you don’t see any other sign of infestation, then you probably think they are from a mosquito. According to Pest Control Atlanta, you’ll often see these bites in clusters unlike mosquito bites. And if you are sleeping under the covers then you may wonder how you got bitten in certain areas to begin with.

Which means you need to look for other signs that you have bed bugs.

Check for other signs

If you are being bitten on an area that is protected by your blankets and can’t be from mosquitos, then you should be seeing little drops of blood on your sheets. You may also see some rust colored small streaks that are from the bed bug excrement on your sheets. If you see it under the sheets, then you may have them living in your mattress.

Bed bugs also smell. If they are living in a cluster in a certain area, then bed bug exterminators in brooklyn may detect a musty odor when you are near it. Usually, they will live near the bed since this is their place to find nourishment. If your mattress smells musty but it hasn’t gotten wet then this may be because they are living there.

Time to get rid of them

Now that you have seen the signs, it means you have a problem. You have to do what you can to get rid of them which is a process. Your best bet is to hire a pest control company, but this can be expensive.

If you want to do it yourself, then you’ll need to buckle down and get to work.

The first thing to do is to isolate the bed. This is where they do their work so you have to get rid of every single one of them. Take all of the linen off and put it into a plastic bag to avoid the risk of spreading the bugs to other areas.

Wash the linen at the highest temperature and then dry it at the highest temperature that you can. It should dry for at least 30 minutes to make sure that the bugs are dead. Also, make sure to put the bag that held the linens into another bag and throw it away.

Pillows also need to be washed and anything else that was on the bed at any time. If your child’s bed has bed bugs then any stuffed animal or toy that could have been infected also needs to be washed thoroughly.

Now your box spring and mattress need to be dealt with. They will both need to be encased so the bed bugs starve and also run out of air to breath. There are special encasement sheets for just this purpose that can be left on the bed so you can still sleep on it without getting bitten by the bigs. Also, if you decide to get a new mattress, then this sheet can keep the bed bugs out so you don’t have the new mattress get infested either. You may think they’re gone but it only takes two to reinfest your room again.

Lastly, put some traps at the base of the legs of the beds. This will keep any remaining bugs from getting back into bed with you so you don’t have to deal with them anymore. If they can’t bite, then they can’t live and will eventually die off.

This is a process so be prepared for this to take some time before they are truly gone.

Charlotte Music Community Relief Fund Aims to Help the Charlotte Music Scene Survive and Thrive

0

Music Everywhere CLT in partnership with FAIR PLAY Music Equity Initiative and Tosco Music, are excited to announce the expansion of the Charlotte Music Community Relief Fund. This grant program was designed to help members of the Charlotte music community, with an emphasis on independent performing or recording artists, with loss of income due to COVID-19. Now, with the help of United Way/Foundation For the Carolinas Covid 19 Response Fund and a successful community campaign, additional grantmaking capacity is available.

The Fund was launched on April 29 with an initial contribution from Music Everywhere CLT, supported by AvidXchange. Since then, a public campaign, with great support from Tosco Music and its supporters, has raised more than $29,000 and the UW/FFTC COVID-19 Response Fund contributed $40,000. As of July 20, #CLTMusicFund has made 79 grants totaling $39,500.

“We’re glad these funds will help support members of the Charlotte music community through COVID-19 as they creatively innovate our way out into an even stronger music city,” says David “Dae Lee” Arrington of FAIR PLAY Music Equity Initiative.

“When we launched this fund with our partners, we were responding to an immediate and urgent need,” says Rick Thurmond of Music Everywhere CLT and Charlotte Center City Partners. “Now, three months later, it’s clear that the music economy will be challenged for some time. We hope that everyone in the music community is aware of this fund, and if you’re in need of a boost, consider applying.”

Music Everywhere CLT’s 2018 study showed that most people in Charlotte’s music community make less than $10,000 a year from music. During these challenging times, the Fund is intended to support local musicians, sound engineers, producers, songwriters, crew, music photographers and help pay a few bills. “The entire Music Everywhere CLT team hopes this fund helps keep the local music scene whole,” says Thurmond. “We hope it lets members of our music community know that Charlotte cares and values their contributions to our city. We hope it encourages them to stick around, stick with us, and stick with it.”

NC State Fair Officially Cancels For The First Time in Almost 100 Years

via Facebook

Officials with the North Carolina State Fair have announced they will be canceling the massive event for the first time in almost 100 years (the last cancellation was due to World War II).

“I can think of a thousand places I’d rather be today than here delivering this news,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler in a press release. “The State Fair is a tradition we all look forward to each year. It’s a vital economic engine for local non-profits, community groups, small businesses and individuals. It’s a time for family and friends to come together to celebrate everything that makes North Carolina such a great place to live. We waited as long as we could, hoping the numbers would take a turn and we’d be able to continue with our planning, but each day brought more challenges than solutions.”

The decision to cancel this year’s fair was based on the following:
• safety and health of visitors, vendors, competitors and staff,
• current COVID-19 statistics in the state,
• North Carolina’s pause in Phase II of reopening thus limiting the size of gatherings,
• contracts that cannot be cancelled at the last minute without a financial impact on the N.C. State Fair and the vendor,
• and the long-term financial health of the N.C. State Fair

The fair has now been rescheduled for next October 14-24th.

Our state is already seeing extremely high risk of deadly rip currents all along the coast.

You can watch the entire media briefing here:

“Although the track and arrival of the hurricane could still change, now is the time for North Carolinians to prepare,” said Governor Cooper. “Hurricane preparations will be different given the COVID-19 pandemic, and families need to keep that in mind as they get ready.”

Officials are reminding all residents in Atlantic Coast states to prepare.

In case of a power outage, make sure to have the following emergency items stocked in your home;

Smithfield Foods Generating Renewable ‘BioGas’ From Pigs to Power North Carolina Communities

0

Smithfield Foods, in partnership with Duke Energy and OptimaBio, LLC, recently turned on their revolutionary new renewable natural gas (RNG) system at its Tar Heel, N.C. pork processing facility, the largest pork processing facility in the world (currently processing over 30,000 hogs each day).

The new RNG system at the facility will power thousands of homes by turning the pig’s bowel movements into usable “BioGas”. The $14 million project will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 25% by 2025 and will produce roughly 140,000 dekatherms of RNG per year that will be transported to natural gas plants and used to generate electricity for consumers.

“This project brings to life all three of our company’s guiding principles – Responsibility, Operational Excellence, and Innovation,” said Kenneth M. Sullivan, president and chief executive officer for Smithfield Foods. “For the first time, we are creating renewable energy from the biogas generated in our wastewater treatment system and using it to power local communities. With the help of our partners, we are producing additional value for our company and our neighbors—a concept that is ingrained in our culture.”

To date, this is one of Smithfield’s largest renewable energy projects involving wastewater, and its first in North Carolina. Smithfield also has “wastewater-to-energy” projects at its Milan, Mo.; Grayson, Ky.; and Sioux Falls, S.D. facilities, which are used to power their modified steam boilers.

The company’s Tar Heel, N.C., project utilizes a gas upgrading and injection system operated by OptimaBio, LLC, a bioenergy project developer, which leverages the facility’s three million gallon-per-day wastewater treatment system to collect and clean biogas through an existing on-site digester and convert it into RNG.

“We are proud to partner with Smithfield on this project, which has far-reaching and positive impacts for the environment, the local community, and industries that are key to the state’s economy,” said Mark Maloney, CEO and Founder at OptimaBio, LLC. “We’re helping diversify and strengthen North Carolina’s renewable energy portfolio through this endeavor.”

Once converted, the RNG is injected into the Piedmont Natural Gas system, and then transported to Duke Energy to produce electricity. This project will help Duke Energy satisfy state swine waste-to-energy mandates under the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard law in North Carolina. Under this law, Duke Energy must generate 0.20% of its retail sales from swine waste by 2024.

“At Duke Energy, we are seeking innovative and cleaner energy solutions. Buying the output from Smithfield’s renewable natural gas project will allow us to expand our diverse generation mix in North Carolina,” said Stephen De May, Duke Energy’s North Carolina president. “This project is creating safe and affordable energy that customers can rely on.”

In addition to creating renewable energy at its facilities, Smithfield is implementing projects on its farms that transform manure into RNG. These projects capture methane from manure, and clean and convert it into RNG, which is then injected into local natural gas distribution systems for homes and businesses. In the next decade, Smithfield is implementing “manure-to-energy” projects in at least six states including Arizona, California, Missouri, North Carolina, Utah, and Virginia.

CMS Board Just Voted To Reopen Under ‘Plan C’ – Remote Learning Only

0

During yesterday’s emergency meeting, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board voted unanimously to reopen the 2020-2021 school year under ‘Plan C’

According to North Carolina’s Guidebook to Reopening Public Schools, Plan C is “Remote learning only”, with ‘Remote learning’ being defined as “learning that takes place outside the traditional school setting using various media and formats, such as but not limited to: video conference, telephone conference, print material, online material, or Learning Management Systems (LMS)”.

According to CMS Superintendent Earnest Winston, new information about the impact of COVID-19 on staff, teachers, students, and parents was the primary driving force behind the emergency meeting and the new decision.

“We have new information about how the virus has had an impact on staff in some of our key departments,” Winston noted. “These departments play a central role in opening schools for an in-person experience. It is important that everyone understand that we want our students and teachers back in school but only when it is safe to do so.”

Here is the full press release from CMS about yesterday’s decision:

Charlotte Sees #8 Largest Rent Decrease Since Start of Pandemic

0

As the COVID-19 pandemic and its ensuing economic fallout continue to overwhelm renters across the country, a new report from ApartmentList.com is showing more good news for renters and bad news for landlords and developers, especially here in Charlotte.

Currently, median rents in Charlotte stand at $978 for a one-bedroom apartment and $1,141 for a two-bedroom. Charlotte’s year-over-year rent growth lags the state and national averages, which both stand at 0.2%.

Here are some additional highlights from this month’s report:

  • Rents in Charlotte increased by 0.2% month-over-month, and are down 1.5% since the start of the pandemic in March, the #8 fastest decline among the nation’s 50 largest cities.
  • Year-over-year rent growth in Charlotte currently stands at -0.6%, the lowest rate in July of any year since the start of our estimates.
  • Renters will find more reasonable prices in Charlotte than most other large cities. For example, San Francisco has a median 2BR rent of $3,001, which is more than two-and-a-half times the price in Charlotte.
