Downtown Rock Hill bore the brunt of the storm’s impact, with hailstones as large as tennis balls causing millions of dollars of damage.

In addition to the hail, powerful wind and rain toppled hundreds of trees, leaving over 2,000 customers without power.

The American Freight Furniture store on Albright Road suffered shattered windows, while another nearby business reported roof damage. A particularly severe incident involved a fallen tree completely destroying a multi-level residential home in Rock Hill.

Despite the significant destruction, no injuries have yet been reported.
