Global clothing brand AS Colour has announced plans to build their largest distribution center in the world right here in Charlotte.
The company will be leasing a 240,000-square-foot facility to use as their base to distribute apparel up and down the East Coast. According to Bloomberg, AS Colour Ltd was formed in 2005 as a designer and manufacturer of clothing, apparel, and accessories. They currently sell online and in their showrooms in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and California.
“AS Colour is excited to expand its U.S. footprint by opening the Charlotte distribution center, which will be the largest to date in its four global markets,” AS Colour general manager Rick Strassner told the Charlotte Business Journal. “We look forward to becoming a member of the Charlotte community and to contribute to the local economy by providing employment opportunities in the Charlotte area. This new distribution center allows us to increase our inventory position to support the growing market and better serve customers on the East Coast.”
