This past Sunday, Cam Newton defended the Carolina reputation by tearing down a Green Bay Packers sign that said “North Carolina Cheesehead”. The sign’s owner then filed a report with the police demanding his $500 back and an apology from Cam Newton. The Panthers decided to buy the owner a new sign, but no apology was made by Cam.
A few Panthers fans have now taken it upon themselves to defend the Panther’s honor by raising funds to install billboards throughout the Greenbay region.
The billboards will say “Wisconsin Black N’ Blue Cheese” with a Panthers logo eating a block of cheese.
If they are able to meet their goal by November 13th, they will install 3 digital billboards around the Green Bay, WI region.
Two of the signs will be right next to Lambeau Field for this coming Sunday’s home game against the Detroit Lions.
People were so against the mall’s attempt at changing the traditional Christmas display that a Change.org petition was created to return the tree.
After over 20,000 signatures were submitted, the mall finally listened.
The mall recently tweeted; “We’re adding key elements to the Santa set this week & listening to our customer feedback, we will now include a traditional Christmas tree.”
Sorry to anyone who liked the futuristic melting glacier lightshow thingy – you’re just gonna have to settle with a giant decorated Christmas tree for Christmas this year.
The SouthPark Mall is now attempting to redefine Santa with their new “Glacier Santa Experience.”
Santa’s seat at the mall is now underneath a giant glacier display, which includes a full light and sound show. There’s no Christmas tree (or any evergreen tree) anywhere in sight.
The mall is one of seven Simon-owned malls across America that will be using this new Santa glacier experience this year.
“The reinvented and modernized experience will bring the Charlotte community together in a way that hasn’t been done before,” the mall said in a statement.
But many, if not all people, are strongly against the mall’s attempt at changing Christmas. So much so that a Change.org petition was created and has already received over 12,000 signatures from the city of Charlotte alone.

The Fort Mill location of the global photo company is about to hire over 1,800 people in a wide variety of positions, including mnagement, printing, and customer service during its busiest time of the year.
Shutterfly produces millions of photobooks, holiday cards, and novelty items at it’s Fort Mill site – the majority of those orders occure between Halloween and early December.
The Fort Mill location is only one of four production hubs in the US, with others being located in Minnesota, Arizona and California. Due to the ever expanding transportation facilities in the Charlotte region, the company has continued to ramp up the percentage of production it does here.
Back in 2013, the company tripled its footprint in the Charlotte region when it closed its 100,000-square-foot southwest Charlotte facility and built a brand new, 300,000-square-foot facility in Fort Mill that same year.
Pastor Appreciation Month is a special time that congregations set aside each year to honor their pastors and pastoral families for the hard work, sacrificial dedication and multiple blessings provided by these special people.

The FBI is now investigating a South Carolina officer after a video was posted on Facebook that shows him throwing a female high school student out of her chair and across the room in the middle of a class;

Mecklenburg County just made the decision yesterday to remove a cross from a student-designed replica of a country store at Park Rd. Park.
The playground was unveiled last year as a tribute to teachers and students killed during the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The model general store and chapel was custom-designed by students from Pinewood Elementary School who wanted to create a “little town scene.”
The County decided to take down the cross after a disgruntled mom sent the county a complaint Email, saying that she felt offended by a religious symbol at a public park.
“It made me uncomfortable, I just felt like it was completely inappropriate.” Bonnie Kunkel told the Charlotte Observer in reference to her complaint Email to the county.
Several county commissioners disagreed with the decision to take the cross down. Commissioner James commented that the replica was meant to be a “historically accurate,” depiction of how old-fashioned general stores used to look.
25 people were injured, 3 now in critical condition, after a roof fell on them at a North Iredell High School this weekend.
Students, faculty, and parents were among those hurt in yesterday’s tragic accident during an annual band competition.
After a tremendous amount of rain fell, an out-of-control truck struck a beam supporting the overhang roof at the main entrance of the school. Many of the injured were trapped by the concrete and had to be freed by local fire department rescue crews.
At least a dozen schools were initially scheduled to perform in the competition, but eight ended up canceling after the historic amount of rain began to fall. The only groups that showed up came from North Iredell, South Iredell, Statesville and Lake Norman high schools.
Several local churches are now rallying people to pray for those injured in the accident.
