Charlotte’s First Detroit-Style Pizzeria Opening in Plaza Midwood

Charlotte’s first “Detroit-style” pizza joint is about to open this coming Summer in the heart of Plaza Midwood.

Emmy Squared creates unique rectangle semi-deep-dish pizzas with cheese cooked onto the crust, a version of Sicilian pizza that became famous in Detroit.

They will be opening their 4,200 sq ft eatery off Central Ave. in the former Fifteen Ten Antiques and Consignment shop.

The new Plaza Midwood location will be Emmy Squared’s 7th location and first in the Carolinas. They currently operate locations in NYC, Nashville, Louisville, Philadelphia, and Washington DC.
