Just months after commemorating its 50th anniversary, the site of one of Charlotte’s most historic eateries, and one of the top ranked burgers in America, Brooks’ Sandwich House, has just been listed for sale.
Owner David Brooks informed WCNC of his intention to keep the doors open until the property is sold, after which he plans to retire. David mentioned that the future of the family business is uncertain; if his children decide to continue, they will do so at a different location and possibly with a new business model.
The property is being listed by The Nichols Company in the ‘Land’ category with the following description:
“+/- 0.965 AC with +/- 480 SF Building available for sale on N. Brevard Street in NoDa (North Davidson), Charlotte’s historic arts and entertainment district. The company did not list the asking price for the property, although the tax value is roughly $2 million.
