A small plane crash-landed about a mile from Gaston Airport on Tuesday. Emergency crews searched for the aircraft while authorities closed nearby roads and reviewed flight radar.
The plane was found in a field off Sparrow Dairy Road and CR Wood Road. The pilot, the sole occupant, was uninjured.
Union Road Fire Department, New Hope Fire Department, Gastonia Fire Department, Gaston County Police, GEMS, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and Gaston County Emergency Services all responded to the scene.

Officials identified the aircraft as a yellow plane located just over a mile from the airport in Gastonia.
Gaston County emergency services have now cleared the area after confirming no injuries or hazards.
