After another disappointing 37-15 loss to the 49ers yesterday, the Panthers organization has just decided to fire head coach Matt Rhule.
Coach Rhule will be leaving the organization with an 11-27 record (.289 winning percentage).
According to a press release, he’ll be immediately replaced by interim head coach and former defensive pass game coordinator Steve Wilks. 53-year-old Wilks spent 1 year as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, and 6 years on the Panthers staff from 2012-17.
