UPDATE: Adalyn has now been found and returned home unharmed.

A statewide Amber Alert has just been issued for a 3-year-old girl from Mint Hill.

Mint Hill Police say 3-year-old Adalyn Mae Hochstetler is a petite child, measuring 3 feet in height and weighing around 30 pounds. Her distinguishing features include brown hair and captivating brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a jean skirt paired with a vibrant pink shirt.

According to the NC Center for Missing Persons, Adalyn is currently believed to be with Kelsi Lyn Hochstetler, a 30-year-old woman standing at 5 feet 4 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

Concerned about his daughter’s safety, Adalyn’s father contacted the Mint Hill police to report her missing. He revealed that he is currently estranged from Kelsi and had expected to spend time with Adalyn on June 19. However, Adalyn never arrived, and the father’s attempts to reach Kelsi have gone unanswered since that day. The father recalls his last sighting of Adalyn on June 11.

Police swiftly responded to the situation and visited Kelsi’s residence, but their search proved fruitless as she was nowhere to be found. Disturbingly, investigations have unveiled that Kelsi has not been in contact with any family members for nearly two weeks, intensifying concerns for Adalyn’s well-being.

Kelsi Lyn Hochstetler was last sighted on Dan Hood Road in Mint Hill in a 2019 Black Kia Optima LX, plate number “FFF3959.”

Investigators speculate Kelsi could be heading towards Delaware to rendezvous with a romantic interest.

If you have any information regarding Adalyn’s whereabouts, please call the Mint Hill Police Department at (704) 889-2231, or call 911 or *HP.
