South Carolina Ranked As America’s #1 Most Dangerous State For Driving

As the pandemic continues to drudge on, folks around the country are opting for local getaways, staycations, and more because of the ability to adhere to social distancing guidelines. But driving requires its own set of safety measures to consider—there were 36,560 deaths as a result of motor vehicle crashes in the U.S. last year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Reviews.com compiled a list of the most dangerous states for driving using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and from analysis by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

According to their data, South Carolina was ranked as the most dangerous state in America for driving and North Carolina was ranked as the 21st most dangerous.
