Uptown’s Queen City Quarter, formerly known as “The Epicenter”, has just announced the addition of 4 new high-demand retail tenants.

In a press release from property managers CBRE, the 4 new additions include:

  • Cajun Market – a Cajun-Creole themed eatery
  • Nostalgia Hollow Company a Cabarrus County coffee and home decor store
  • Portal 123 an Instagrammable museum, on par with the Museum of Illusions

The mixed-use complex also renewed several existing businesses’ leases, including; World of Beer, Mortimer’s Cafe and Pub, and Bowlero. Renovations will also shortly begin on the stairways, escalators, courtyard, patios, lighting, and landscaping.

The original Epicenter owners, Epicentre SPE, defaulted on their $85 million loan with Deutsche Bank last August, forcing a foreclosure auction and giving full control to CBRE Inc through a court-order receivership.

According to the receiver’s report, the Epicentre included a total of 50 tenant spaces encompassing roughly 302,324 square feet when it was sold.

What do you think of the rebranding?
