Police Asking For Help In Finding Missing Charlotte-Area Teenager

1604

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding 15-year-old Tiffanee Lynn Steverson. She was last seen at her house on File Farm Road, Salisbury.

Steverson’s family thinks she might have run away, which is something a lot of missing kids do – about 91% of them, according to the Polly Klaas Foundation. The family also thinks she might be in Charlotte now.

This is yet another case of a missing child in our state. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children said that over 464 kids went missing in North Carolina just last year, although the stats are improving. Last year, we found 92% of children who were reported missing.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who knows anything about where Steverson might be to give them a call at (704) 216-8711.
