Yesterday’s game (the first home game of the season) against the Buffalo Bills was a defensive slugfest.
Carolina’s defense allowed only one field goal, and Buffalo’s defense allowed only three field goals, giving us the 9-3 victory over Buffalo.
Also, the dab is back…

The Panthers (now 2-0) held the Bills (now 1-1) to just 176 total yards and 10 first downs. McCoy had 9 yards on 12 carries and Taylor had 125 yards passing. The Panthers had three sacks, two by Julius Peppers in his first home game since re-signing with them. Buffalo had six sacks by Sean McDermott’s defense. McDermott was the Panther’s defensive coordinator for the past 6 seasons before taking over as head coach of the Bills this year.
This is now the 7th time the Panthers have won their first two games of a season. For the last 6 years, we’ve always started 2-0, and we’ve also made it to the playoffs every year except 2002.
Our soft opening schedule continues next week against the New Orleans Saints (currently 0-2).
How do you think the Panthers played yesterday?
