While most NFL teams use their 1st round draft picks to sign star QBs, receivers, or running backs, the Carolina Panthers have just used their 1st round draft pick on the line – specifically left tackle.
The move may be unconventional, but after years of unrelenting QB sacks, it may turn out to be the best decision the team could have made.
In the 6th overall pick, the Panthers selected NC State tackle Ickey Ekwonu – a ridiculously fast and potential mind reading tackler.
