The Carolina Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera has just confirmed that 2nd string QB Kyle Allen will be starting for the Panthers this coming Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
“Cam is going to continue his rehab,” Coach Rivera commented. “As I told you guys last week, we’re not putting any pressure on Cam. He’s done a great job doing the things that we’ve asked of him. He’s gone above and beyond in terms of working with our quarterbacks and helping them along the way. He’s just going to continue to do his program.”
The Panthers have now won 4 games in a row with Allen in the starting position and many fans want him to continue to start, even when Cam Newton is cleared to play, as long as he is winning.
