Microsoft has just announcement a massive $47.5 million expansion in North Carolina that will bring in hundreds of new jobs with an average salary of $125,354.
According to a press release from the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Microsoft’s new investment will create over 500 new jobs at their Wake County facility, mostly in software engineering and software development arenas.
“Companies like Microsoft continue to expand in North Carolina because they see us as the right fit for technology success. Skilled, diverse workers and strong infrastructure mean businesses are confident that expanding in our state is a good business decision,” said Governor Cooper.

This past October, Microsoft announced another major $23 million expansion in Charlotte that will create a total of 430 jobs.
The company currently employs about 2,000 people at several facilities across our state.
