The FBI has just arrested and charged the first North Carolina man for taking part in the violent attack and siege of the US Capitol on January 6th.

Christopher Raphael Spencer (aka Chris Spencer) of Pilot Mountain, NC was arrested in Kernersville yesterday and charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds, and obstruction of justice.

Spencer was identified by an informant who tipped off the FBI after he streamed himself online during the attack.

In one of his videos, he can be heard yelling vulgarities at police officers and taunting the officers. According to a press release by the FBI, “He then turns the camera and said “What up Alec? We done stormed the Capitol building, bro. They done teared us.”” In other parts of the video, Spencer can be heard saying “You still believe Joe Biden won?” and “Where’s Nancy’s office?”.

While Spencer is the first North Carolina man to be arrested with the siege, another man from Ashville was arrested the day before the attack for illegal possession of guns and ammo in Washington DC.

Spencer is now scheduled to appear at the federal courthouse in Greensboro on Tuesday the 26th.
