Lowes Home Improvement has just confirmed that employees at 2 separate Charlotte locations have tested positive for COVID-19.

One of the infected employees works at the Lowes in South Charlotte off Ballantyne Commons Parkway, and the other infected employee works at the Northlake location off Perimeter Parkway.

In a statement, Lowe’s said that the employees have now been quarantined and the company will be supporting them during the recovery process.

“The well-being of our associates and customers is Lowe’s priority. The stores remain open, and we continue to take extra steps to clean the store beyond our daily cleaning protocols. In an abundance of caution, associates who had worked closely with either individual over a period of time have been put on a paid leave.”

Mecklenburg County now has a total of 420 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

It’s more important than ever to closely follow our county and our state’s Stay at Home Orders and if you do need to go shopping, make sure to social distance, don’t touch your face, and wash your hands as often as possible.
