Charlotte-area emergency crews have just responded to one of the more unusual cases in 2020.

Yesterday morning, the Mooresville Fire & Rescue department responded to a large black bear that had climbed his way into a very public tree on East Center Avenue in the heart of Mooresville.

The Mooresville Police Department, animal control, and officers with the NC Wildlife Dept joined MFR in working to get the bear out of the tree.

According to local resident Anna Baldwin the bear’s also been spotted near the war memorial in Mooresville and on a game cam in Mt Ulla just 3 days ago.
