Charlotte’s First Maryland Style Crab Cake Eatery Reopening For Good – LuLu’s

Popular LuLu’s Maryland-Style Chicken and Seafood has permanently reopened its original location on 2400 Tuckaseegee Road.

The original location’s reopening signals a return to business for the popular seafood restaurant in a time where many similar local establishments have closed their doors for good.

“In a time where many restaurants have closed their doors for good, I am thankful that I was able to keep our original location. Then, to be able to re-introduce LuLu’s back to the community at the right time – it’s amazing to get a second chance,” says Jay Davis, who is now operating as the sole owner of the restaurant. “We are excited to bring Maryland-style seafood back to the Queen City full time.”

The original LuLu’s location previously saw off and on operations during the construction of a round-about that forced a road closure in front of the building. Availability of seafood and staffing since the COVID-19 pandemic also factored into its more limited hours.

LuLu’s will be open Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.; and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Amongst the restaurant fare during the re-opening, LuLu’s has returned to serving some of its crowd favorites including jumbo lump crab cakes, crab fries, salmon and shrimp.
