Carolina Legend Sam Mills Selected For National Hall of Fame

Sam Mills Jr., Carolina football legend and originator of the mantra “Keep Pounding”, has just been chosen for the Pro Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

Mills was a profoundly talented and inspirational linebacker and assistant coach in the early days of the Panthers franchise. He was the first player to be inducted into the Panthers’ Hall of Honor and the only player to have his jersey number be permanently retired.

Last night, the Panthers posted the recorded conversation of the call to Sam Mill Jr’s son, Sam Mill III from Hall of Fame officials:

Mills is joining Jaguars offensive tackle Tony Boselli, Patriots defensive end Richard Seymour, Packers safety LeRoy Butler, and 49ers defensive tackle Bryant Young in this year’s Hall of Fame class.

Keep Pounding!
