How Do You Pack A Teddy Bear For A Gift?

0

Teddy bears are like kids’ first best friends. The first thing that will make children feel love for the first time. Their first companion in a world they are not yet familiar with. When they sleep, their night protector will keep monsters at bay. To an adult, a teddy bear might be a simple gift. But, to a child, it can be an introduction to a magical world where everything is possible, and anyone can walk with you hand in hand.

That’s why we, as adults already aware of the realities of the world, should never ruin this chance for them. You might think there’s nothing much to do when you choose a teddy bear as a gift.

Nothing’s ever more lovely than an adorable bear-shaped toy to give a loved one—until you have to wrap it. Just when you thought this present would be great, it turned out to be an unwrapped mess. Wrapping a teddy bear and making it appear beautiful is doable. You might want to wrap a stuffed animal in one of these inventive manners.

Boom! Surprise! : Place it inside a party balloon.

This unique way of wrapping a gift might be exciting and fun to see upon opening, or in this case, popping, but it can also get terrifying for little kids. Consider the recipient’s age while deciding on a present for them. Kids ages 7 to 12 might find this amusing to open and will surely enjoy the element of surprise this type of gift-wrapping idea has in it. But, to toddlers, the loud sound and mini-explosion might be more scary than fun.

Consider balloon wrapping if you want your present to stand out and know the recipient will be happy with the packaging. Balloon covers are usually a crowd-pleaser, but they need specialized devices to get done. It’s possible to hire a balloon-wrapping specialist in the market or booth, or you may do it yourself with the help of online guides. While it may take some time, the extra work won’t be in vain if you give it to a cherished person.

Make it a picnic companion: Fancy a teddy in a basket?

Getting a large assortment of soft, fluffy plush animals is equivalent to receiving a large selection of happiness. Someone you care about will be overjoyed to get a gift basket full of teddy bears as a present from you. This type of charitable thought will especially appeal to children. Incorporating colorful bows and other embellishments into the basket will also give it a homey and cheery appearance.

Colorful baskets in pale blue, lavender, and bright pink may also be used to brighten up the look. If you want to provide a “picnic in the woods” vibe to the collection of stuffed animals you plan to give away, including teddy bears, dogs, deer, and squirrels for a more friendly scene.

Out with the old flowers, in with the new teddy bouquet.

Your loved ones must have already received several arrangements of beautiful, aromatic blooms from you. However, have you ever given a bouquet of teddy bears? If you haven’t done so, you’re losing out on a chance to give something that will surely make their hearts skip with joy.

All you need is a pastel-colored cellophane wrap sheet, and a bunch of cuddly teddy bears to make a beautiful arrangement. Wrap this up with a pretty ribbon at the bottom. Even though flowers or candy are traditional, they could be added to the gift to make it sweeter.

It is not always hard to wrap a cute and cuddly teddy bear. With the numerous options available over the internet right now, you will never have to rack your brain over a not-so-complicated gift again.

The Ultimate Personal Statement Writing Guide

0

A personal statement or college essay is written to support your application for admission to a college or institution. This personal statement or application essay is an opportunity for you to gain admission to your goal or favorite institution to study the chosen field or topic and obtain skills in your field of interest.

A personal statement is created to familiarize the jury or admission committee with your personality and explain why you are the best candidate for chances at their institute. Some student may require writing help for their personal statement, especially if they don’t have the skills to write one.

Outline for a Personal Statement

A universal structure is appropriate for all personal statements, regardless of the college for which you are writing your application essay. Whether it’s a personal statement for medical school or an application to law school. This scholarship essay’s fundamental framework or format includes an introduction, a few body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

  • Introduction: The first section of a college application essay is the introduction. An application explains the issue in order to pique the reader’s attention. An introduction begins with an attention-grabbing opening line, followed by some fascinating background information, then the thesis statement or major argument or concept of the essay.

Remember that this is simply an introduction, not a thorough discussion of ideas and issues. In this area, do not reveal everything to the readers. Simply introduce yourself, your hobbies, and any noteworthy personal experiences. Also, avoid writing about your family members.

  • Body paragraphs: Your personal statement’s body paragraphs contain all you need to communicate and clarify your introduction. This section discusses your accomplishments, problem-solving strategies, skills, and shortcomings that support your personality.

To properly compose this part, ensure that each paragraph has a main phrase and transitions to all prior paragraphs. This is done to preserve a logical flow in your assertion and keep your readers focused on your writing.

  • Conclusion: The conclusion is the last and last piece that summarizes the applicant’s views and essential aspects. All paragraphs in the body section should lead up to this section.

The committee does not want your statement to finish abruptly and inappropriately. Your conclusion should include a review of all the key topics, such as your aims, career prospects, and ambitions.

How to Write a Personal Statement?

With so many objectives, it is evident how critical it is to write it properly. One chance to impress someone should not be squandered. You should not be sacrificed at any cost to accomplish your longtime desire of attending a famous university. Therefore, you may need to outsource this assignment to the experts at https://us.masterpapers.com/.

The method of producing a faultless personal statement for master’s or graduate degrees is outlined here.

Take Your Time

Begin drafting your personal statement as soon as you have adequate facts. To ensure the quality and efficacy of your essay, do not compose your personal statement in a hurry.

Allow enough time to come up with original ideas and perfect your own message. A fresh head and eyes will always aid in creative writing. Allow enough time for each stage of the writing process to ensure that you have prepared a flawless essay.

Emphasize your Strengths

The goal of a college essay is to impress the reader with your abilities. Make sure that any incident or experience you describe promotes your talents. As much as possible, avoid mentioning flaws.

Make them feel that you are a suitable fit for their institute rather than other candidates and pupils.

Be Honest

Although you must convey your abilities, this does not imply that you should boast about yourself or give false information. Inspire them with your honesty and the fact that everything in your personal statement is true to who you are.

Every feature described should be distinct. The committee will immediately detect deception, which will work against you.

Avoid Repetition

Even if you have to underline your qualities, don’t do so again. The repetition will take away the allure and intrigue of your message, turning it into a dull and unappealing piece of writing. There are several expressions that conclude in bins. It is because they are drab and monotonous that they fail to impress the jurors. Useless and dull information should be avoided.

Sound Professional

In a personal statement, a person offers his or her experiences, tales, ideas, and so on, but this does not mean that you should be casual and use unprofessional language. Make certain that everything you offer has a professional tone and is written properly. Slang and colloquial language should be avoided. You can’t afford to blow this one shot at getting into your ideal college, so make it count.

When you proofread, you have the opportunity to improve your writing via editing. Read your personal statement aloud to yourself to see how you sound in your essay and how well it impresses the readers.

Collect Feedbacks

Get comments on your statement once you’ve finished proofreading and revising. See if you can amaze your relatives and friends with your essay. If they are impressed and comprehend all you said in the essay, you have a good chance of inspiring the committee as well.

Get criticism on the tone, sentence construction, vocabulary, and clarity of your essay. Then, take every precaution to assure the success of your statement.

5 Interesting Facts About Raccoons

0

We all know raccoons – those cute critters with the “bandit” mask around their eyes. Well, cute until they’re turning your garbage can inside out, or causing serious damage up in your attic, anyway.

We find it’s important to educate yourself on the potential wildlife infestations in your area, as this will help you navigate the situation more calmly. So, in the interest of prevention, but also because so many people have asked us “do raccoons make a good pet?”, we’re gonna tell you our favorite facts about them.

  1. The mask.

First things first, we want to discuss the raccoon’s infamous bandit mask. Many people are surprised to learn that the distinctive black marks around a raccoon’s eyes aren’t accidental or random, in the slightest.

Do you know the way an athlete will paint their eyes to improve clarity? Well, that’s essentially what the raccoon’s mask does. The black markings increase contrast and allow the raccoon to move and see more clearly. Especially since the animal is nocturnal, it needs to be able to distinguish shapes and predators in the dark, and that’s what the mask does.

2. They have remarkably human-like “hands”.

Because with raccoons, we think it’s fair to talk about hands and not simply paws. As some of you may know, raccoons have five dexterous fingers on either hand that allow them to easily grab things. This is how they’re able to lift the lids off of trash cans, something that makes them a force to be reckoned with, even for the most diligent homeowners.

Not only that, but a raccoon’s hands are also deeply sensitive, with clusters of nerves in their palms sending signals to the brain. This is how raccoons are able to easily examine things underwater or in the dark.

3. They’re pretty smart.

Raccoons rank below monkeys, in terms of mammal IQs, with monkeys ranking under humans. This means raccoons have a pretty high IQ (which makes them even more of a concern for homeowners – find some of our favorite prevention tips at raccoontips.com). Raccoons are resourceful and exhibit clear problem-solving and critical thinking skills, in dire situations.

Not only that, but raccoons also have quite a complex vocabulary. They can emit over 50 distinct noises, most of them being used to communicate with one another, share the location of predators, and other important knowledge. Raccoons will hiss, purr, growl, chirp, or squeal.

4. They’re not big on family.

While some animals will mate with one partner for life, raccoons aren’t monogamous, in the sense that they will mate with as many females as they can, per mating season. Males will, anyway, while females will typically only mate with one. Male raccoons are also uninterested when it comes to protecting and raising a family. Their role begins and ends during mating season, with the female raccoon being left to raise her young on her own.

Raccoons are solitary creatures by nature and do not even hang around in clusters, tending to avoid the company of other raccoons, outside of brief periods.

5. They’re fast and resourceful.

Raccoons are among the most resilient creatures in the animal kingdom, known for their ability to adapt to pretty much any habitat (mountains, tropics, crowded cities – they can live anywhere).

On top of that, raccoons can move at up to 15 miles per hour, making them a force to be reckoned with. This is why, if you’re dealing with a raccoon infestation, we suggest that you contact Complete Wildlife Removal, rather than attempt to deal with it yourself.

To answer the question, no, raccoons do not make good pets, but they are a lot more intelligent and interesting than at first meets the eye.

Habitat for Humanity of Gaston County Seeks Help From Faith Community

0

Habitat for Humanity of Gaston County launches its “House That Faith Built”  campaign – a faith-based effort to raise $150,000 for the construction of one home within its  forthcoming Dixon Village. This home sponsorship is part of a larger goal to raise $1.2 million for eight  Habitat homes in the innovative neighborhood.

Habitat is currently developing the 7.5-acre community in North Belmont. Two-thirds of its 28  homes will provide affordable workforce housing for Habitat families and essential workers – hometown heroes such as teachers, firefighters, police officers and healthcare employees – and  one-third for market-rate homebuyers. This mixed-income neighborhood will be the first of its kind  in the greater Charlotte region and meets a growing need for affordable housing in Gaston County.

The “House That Faith Built” campaign will unite members of the faith community to reach out to a  neighbor in need by providing a home sponsorship for a Habitat family in the Dixon Village  neighborhood.

Said Kay Peninger, executive director for Habitat Gaston, “Our theme of ‘Love Thy Neighbor’ will bring  us together to put God’s love into action by building a home with an affordable mortgage for a family.”

Added Rev. Ray Hardee, Habitat board and House That Faith Built committee member, “It does take a  village to build a village. We pray together to our heavenly Father that He will help us make a difference  with people who want to make a difference at a time that makes a difference.”

The campaign’s goal is partnership with 15,000 people of faith to raise the full $150,000 needed for the  Habitat home. Interested donors can contribute by texting HGFAITH to 44321 or mailing a check to Habitat for Humanity of Gaston County, Inc. at 1840 E Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054 with the memo HGFAITH. North Carolina Signs Agreement With United Kingdom To Fight Climate Change

0

The Governor and Secretary of State have just signed an agreement with the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Trade Policy to strengthen economic ties and actively fight climate change.

The “Memorandum of understanding on cooperation and trade relations between the US state of North Carolina and the United Kingdom” has 4 primary goals:

  1. Achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible, but no later than 2050, by accelerating the development and deployment of clean energy industry and technologies, such as photovoltaic solar, offshore wind, electric vehicles, battery storage, and other innovations critical to economy-wide decarbonisation, and by ensuring a just transition for workers affected by the shift towards a low-carbon economy.
  2. Increasing economic opportunities for the Participants’ citizens and residents, particularly in previously underinvested regions, by identifying, anticipating and addressing barriers to free and open trade, increasing investment and enhancing business networks, including those of women- and minority- owned businesses.
  3. Strengthening people-to-people ties between the Participants to support the ongoing evolution and growth of the United States-United Kingdom relationship.
  4. Promoting equity and environmental justice through economic development and climate action.
  5. Prioritising and advancing opportunities in their government procurement processes.

According to the memorandum, the above goals will be carried out through 6 main activities; Best Practice Exchange, Government Missions, Private-Sector Partnership Development, Higher Education Partnerships, Joint Projects and Events, and Capital Investment.

“Our state-level work shows we can be dynamic and creative with our trade partners. Whilst we continue engaging with Washington D.C., we’re speaking to businesses and political leaders right across America – from North Carolina to California – to grow our already £200bn trade relationship,” Penny Mordaunt, Minister of State for International Trade said in a press release. “North Carolina is home to some of the US’ most exciting companies – from Honeywell to Labcorp – and was recently named America’s top state for business. Our twin-track approach to trade with the US is helping cut bureaucracy, reduce costs and increase exports and investment, and I look forward to seeing UK businesses reap the benefits. The UK is continuing to seek out ways to remove barriers to trade at a state-level as part of a wider US trade strategy. We plan to sign additional agreements with Oklahoma and South Carolina in the coming months, with even more in the pipeline. The UK has also delivered major trade breakthroughs at the federal level. This includes removing restrictions preventing high-quality Welsh lamb and Scottish beef from being sold in the US and resolving the Section 232 tariff dispute, resulting in the removal of 25% tariffs on British steel, a huge win for UK steelmakers.”

How to Excel on Your Nursing Degree

0

So, you’ve just enrolled on a nursing degree? Fantastic. You’re about to embark on an exciting new chapter of your life. The following top tips will help you give yourself the best possible chance of graduating with flying colors and achieving your career dreams. Let’s dive right in.

Studying for Your Academic Modules

For those who have been out of formal education for a while, the prospect of going back to college for either an undergraduate nursing degree or a graduate program can be daunting. One of the most useful pieces of advice is to brush up on your study skills before enrolling. This will make it much easier for you to understand and remember the topics you’re taught during the academic modules of your course.

Here are some tips to get you started:

  • Begin your assignments well in advance of the deadlines, so you don’t feel rushed and can truly do your best work
  • Don’t simply read your notes or textbooks multiple times and expect the information to stick. Instead, actively test yourself on the material to boost retention
  • Have regular study sessions throughout the week, rather than trying to fit everything in on one day
  • Allow yourself short breaks when studying to clear your mind and boost your motivation
  • Form a study group with other students on your course so you can help each other learn and make sure none of you are slacking off
  • Ask your teachers if there’s anything you don’t understand – it’s best to clear up any confusion right away
  • Try explaining what you’re learning to someone else, to highlight the parts you don’t fully understand yet

Making the Most of Your Clinical Placement

Your clinical placement is a key part of your course and involves you working in a real-world healthcare setting under the supervision of an experienced professional. It’s where you put what you’re learning into practice, hone your skills, and ultimately become a more competent nurse.

To get the most out of this learning opportunity, try the following tips:

  • Observe your mentor and other nurses in your placement setting closely
  • Always show high levels of motivation and enthusiasm to develop good relationships with those you’re working with
  • Ask questions if you’re not sure about something
  • Seek out opportunities to learn more or take on additional responsibilities
  • Proactively ask for feedback wherever possible and appropriate, to get an accurate image of your abilities
  • Take effective action in response to feedback, to ensure you address any issues or weaknesses
  • Look at the outcomes you’re expected to achieve, and assess how you can not only meet but exceed them
  • Communicate frequently with your mentor
  • Always act professionally, for example by showing up on time, dressing according to the workplace policy, and respecting patient confidentiality
  • Pitch in as part of the team

Tips for studying online

If you went for a more flexible study option and chose a distance learning course like the online nurse practitioner program in Texas, you might be wondering how you can ensure you succeed with a virtual degree. The good news is that you just need some prior preparation and self-discipline.

You can give yourself an advantage by:

  • Creating a dedicated study space at home where you can work in peace. Try to set up your desk ergonomically to avoid back pain and ensure it’s well lit to prevent eye strain.
  • Plan out a study schedule that suits your preferred learning times and fits around any existing work or family commitments you have. Then, make sure that you stick to it.
  • Sign up for a free, short online course before your degree program starts. This will help you to get familiar with the process of online learning and figure out how to make it work for you.
  • Read blogs by other distance learning nursing students for some insider tips and firsthand accounts of what it’s like.
  • Get your family on board, for example by asking your partner to take the kids out for the day while you study.
  • Make use of apps that block you from accessing social media and other distracting websites while you study, to help you focus more effectively.
  • Mix things up now and again by working in a different location, such as a coffee shop or local library. Not only can this refresh your motivation, but you’re less likely to waste time if you’re surrounded by other people.
  • Set up an online study group with your cohort and work together over Zoom.

Looking After Your Physical and Mental Health

Believe it or not, a big part of succeeding academically comes down to your mental and physical health. Living a healthy lifestyle and prioritizing your wellbeing will help to ensure that your cognitive powers are at their maximum and give you the best chance of getting top grades.

Here are some guidelines to try and stick to:

  • Eat a healthy diet that’s rich in fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and legumes.
  • Avoid junk food such as processed meat, salty snacks, and sugary sweets.
  • Drink six to eight glasses of water every day to stay hydrated. This helps to keep your memory and concentration at their best
  • Avoid energy drinks, sugary sodas, .and alcohol – coffee is fine though.
  • Go for a walk in nature to get some fresh air and sunlight, boost your mood, and heighten your productivity and creativity
  • Do some form of exercise every day – this will also prepare you for long nursing shifts on your feet. From dance and yoga to tennis and kickboxing, anything fun and active will do.
  • Aim for seven to nine hours of sleep a night. This will help you to feel alert and refreshed when you wake up, plus keep your cognitive functions at their strongest.
  • Try meditation or breathing exercises to calm your mind and improve your focus. Apps such as Calm and Headspace have some great guided options for beginners.
  • If you find yourself feeling demotivated, remind yourself of why you enrolled on your nursing degree, and visualize your life after graduation. You could even make a vision board to help it feel more real.
  • Ask for help if you need it and make use of your college support services – it’s what they’re there for.

North Carolina Among The Most Dangerous States To Drive In

0

It has been widely reported that sleep deprivation can have a serious impact on daily behaviors, like driving a car. The NHTSA estimates that in 2017, there were 91,000 police-reported car accidents that involved drowsy drivers, which led to the injuries of around 50,000 people and nearly 800 deaths.

Dealer.com conducted an analysis of 2022 County Health Rankings data to compare and determine which states in America are the most dangerous to drive in, based on the following factors: the percentage of people who suffer from insufficient sleep, and the percentage of motor vehicle deaths per 100,000 people.

The data breakdown for each state also shows additional issues contributing towards dangerous driving conditions, including: the average traffic volume per meter of major roadways, the percentage of alcohol impaired driving deaths, and overall driving deaths within the state. The data reveals that overall, California is ranked as the #1 most dangerous state in which to drive, considering a combination of the aforementioned factors.

North Carolina unfortunately ranked in 12th position – making it among the most dangerous states to drive in when it comes to drowsy drivers. The Tar Heel State has an insufficient sleep rate of 36%, combined with a 10.5% rate of motor vehicle deaths per 100,000 people. The traffic volume per meter of major roadways is 228 and 26% of driving deaths involve alcohol. Finally, the number of driving deaths in the state was 7,210 in 2019.

South Carolina ranked just slightly better, coming in at 13th overall.

Charlotte Housing Shortage Forcing Creative Solutions – Like Turning This Church into Condos

0

As Charlotte’s desirability, job opportunity, and population continues to grow, the demand for housing continues to outpace supply.

With raw land, especially near uptown becoming increasingly scarce, some developers are getting creative with where and how they build new homes.

One of the most unique new projects in Charlotte has to be a new condo development being built inside of a historic Charlotte church in Wesley Heights (formerly Charlotte Immanuel Church Of All Nations – they’ve since moved to an expanded location at 5216 Tuckaseegee Rd).

“The Arches” will feature a total of 15 unites (4 will be built outside of the church, and 11 will be built throughout the historic interior). Several of the units will feature exterior balconies with skyline views.

The new project is being marketed and represented by David Hoffman Realty’s new homes division, spearheaded by Whitestone Capital, and built by Fairwood Construction.

Presales on units will begin within the next few weeks, if you’re interested in buying, you can inquire about a unit here.

Top 5 NFL Drafts This Summer

0

Sports fans across the globe love to place bets on their favourite teams and see if they can win big. With the use of digital technology, betting is also easier than ever before. With things like the DraftKings Maryland app, you can easily bet on your favourite football team and potentially earn some extra cash. This year, the new season for NFL is due to start soon, so what better time to take a look at the most recent drafts. Here are the top 5 NFL drafts that have happened this summer that will definitely shake things up!

  1. Miami Dolphins & Channing Tindall

Channing Tindall is known for his speed and amazing range, so it’s no wonder the Dolphins wanted to acquire him. Tindall is also thought to have the ability to bring a team to victory, so hopefully, he can do just that. The Dolphins, while a great team are currently lacking in the defence department, which is exactly why they drafted Tindall as their linebacker. Although the Dolphins had quite a small draft class this season, they’re firm in the belief that Tindall is the answer to their prayers. Tindall can also run a 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds, making him only one of three other linebackers that can. This level of skill will surely make a difference in how the Dolphins play this year.

2. Minnesota Vikings & Lewis Cine

After struggling for the past few seasons with their defence, the Vikings are hoping that their recent acquisition of Lewis Cine is going to make all the difference. Being their first-round draft pick says a lot about their belief in Cine too, with him being described as hard-hitting and talented. Cine will also get to play alongside Harrison Smith, a monster on the field, making them a deadly combo. Cine’s ferocious level of play should hopefully bring the Vikings up a notch from last season, and with his consistent skilful playing, it could be a very interesting year for them.

3. Chicago Bears & Kyle Gordon

Last season, the Bears’ defence really struggled to keep up, so picking someone like Kyle Gordon during the draft was crucial. Coach Matt Eberflus is reportedly very happy with what he’s seen so far from Gordon as well, with his first few practice games apparently blowing them away. The Bears are looking for Gordon to make a lot of interceptions, and it’s a tactic that worked well for Eberflus while coaching the Colts a few years ago. So, maybe their acquisition of Gordon could really up their game this season.

4. Baltimore Ravens & David Ojabo

A second-round pick for the Ravens, Ojabo is one outside linebacker to watch. After moving from Nigeria to Aberdeen, Scotland, and then to New Jersey when he was 17, Ojabo has an edge that hasn’t been seen in a lot of players. However, he did suffer from an Achilles injury, so with any luck, he will make a full recovery. Hopefully, we’ll see a triumphant debut with the Ravens for Ojabo when he plays this season!

5. Kansas City Chiefs & Skyy Moore

After losing Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs have been looking for a worthy replacement. It seems that they may have found it in Skyy Moore. With a similar frame and build, his speedy skills should fill the gap left by Hill. Apparently, Moore is one of the best rookies and is extremely popular in fantasy football too. Moore’s current projections are looking positive for the Chiefs, so maybe we’ll see a whole new side of them this season.

The NFL draft has been an exciting one this year, with lots of rookies being acquired. Changes to teams should see lots of new gameplay and interesting results. Maybe one of the rookies could become the next NFL star this year and lead their new team all the way to the top!
