Parents are demanding answers from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was seen near a school drop-off area in east Charlotte.
On Monday, the principal of Charlotte East Language Academy addressed concerns from families after the ICE presence sparked fear and confusion among parents and students.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools confirmed the sighting of ICE near the school but could not say whether anyone was detained, according to WSOC.
District officials declined to confirm whether any student or family member was directly impacted.
