A unique high end organic grocery chain is opening a new location in Charlotte to take on Whole Foods and Earth Fare in the Charlotte grocer wars.
Sprouts Farmers Market just announced they will be officially opening their new Steel Creek location on November 17th at 14124 Steele Creek Road in South West Charlotte.
Their new 24,250-square-foot market is being built in the Rivergate shopping center.
It will feature an abundance of uniquely healthy, organic, natural foods products and brands.
Think of it as a cross between Whole Foods and the Common Market.

The 24,250-square-foot establishment, situated in the Rivergate shopping center area, has remained vacant since the closure of Earth Fare nearly three years ago. Like Earth Fare, Sprouts specializes in offering organic and natural foods and products.
This will be the Phoenix-based grocery chain’s 2nd Charlotte market and 6th in our state. They opened their first Charlotte location a little over 4 years ago at 15121 Ballancroft Parkway in Ballantyne. They now run 391 total markets across the nation.
