Who Will Shine In The 2021 NFL Draft?

87

There are three days in the NFL that make fans stop everything they’re doing, take a seat and glue themselves to their tv’s, computers or even now cell phones. While two are totally understandable because of the action that unfolds, the first game of the season and the Super Bowl, the third one is more about the action that team’s front offices can pull off to benefit their squads. Yes, it’s the NFL draft we’re talking about. Football enthusiasts and sports betting fans alike look forward to this day to see who their favorite teams will pick out of a group with the best college prospects available to snatch. The 2021 draft promises to be one of the best in years so who should you be looking at to make a splash?

Quarterbacks Are Looking Better than Ever

It’s impossible to talk about this upcoming draft without first talking about how stalked the quarterback class is, beginning with a player that has been called the best prospect to come into the league in the last ten years. Yes, we are talking about Clemson’s QB Trevor Lawrence. What does Trevor bring to the table? Easy, with the Clemson QB any team who snags him will get someone who already has played in two national title games, winning one in his freshman season. It doesn’t hurt that he is being compared to Andrew Luck, one of the best young QB’s to ever enter the league.

With the Jacksonville Jaguars already securing the first pick, it’s a lock that they will take Lawrence from the get go and finally get over their perennial quarterback problems. But Lawrence is not the only QB stud coming into this draft. Ohio State’s Justin Fields and BYU’s Zack Wilson also stand out as two very good prospects for teams looking for a new franchise quarterback to look into.

Offensive Weapons Will Fly Off The Board

For this upcoming draft, online betting football fans will find delight in seeing the group of offensive players other than qb’s that will also be up for grabs. From potential #1 WR’s like LSU’s Ja’marr Chase, Alabama’s DeVonta Smith and Purdue’s Rondale Moore, to running backs like Alabama’s Najee Harris and Clemson’s Travis Etienne and tight ends like Florida’s Kyle Pitts if your team needs pass catchers and ball rushers they will be in for a treat.

But an offense is not only about scoring as many times as you can, a strong offense is also all about having strong protective players having your quarterback’s back. Tackles like Oregon’s Penei Sewell, regarded as the most complete player in the draft, Notre Dame’s Liam Eichenberg and Alabama’s Alex Leatherwood will surely be in ay team’s shopping list from early on.

Defensive Picks is Always A Safe Way To Go

If you look back at previous drafts you will surely find that teams will go crazy over stacking up their defensive units as much as they can. The 2021 draft will definitely not be the exception. This upcoming draft class has some gems in the defensive part of the game.  Corner backs who might cause big splashes right out of the bat like Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley, Alabama’s Patrick Surtain II and South Carolina’s Jaycee Horn will surely leave the draft in the early picks of the first round.  Linebackers and edge rushers both inside and outside who will be monsters in the league and most probably will offer results right off the bat like Penn State’s Micah Parsons, Miami’s Gregory Rousseau, Missouri’s Nick Bolton and Pitt’s Patrick Jones II will surely as well be hot commodities in the early rounds of the draft.
