Video Of Black And White Churches Singing Together in Uptown Charlotte Is Now Going Viral

This past Sunday we posted a video that was taken by one of our contributors, Michelle Murray, during Sunday morning’s unity march.

The video captures a powerful moment when over 1,000 people from different churches and races all begin to sing in unison behind Charlotte’s courthouse.

In less than 3 days, it’s already been viewed over 300,000 times and shared over 5,200 times:

The crowd happened to be singing a perfect song for the moment, “Good Good Father”, repeating the lines;

“You’re a Good, Good Father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I am loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

’cause you are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways to us”

The unity march happened just over a week after protests turned violent in uptown Charlotte after the death of Keith Lamont Scott.

The video seemed to strike a powerful chord of peace and comfort in a city that is still fighting against anger and fear:
