There will be tons of concerts, festivals, shows, and plenty of coffee!

Here are the top 10 things happening around the Charlotte region this weekend:

#1 University City Wine Fest

University City Partners just announced they’ll be hosting the second annual University City Wine Fest around the lake at the Shoppes at University Place this coming Saturday, April 14 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. for general admission and 1:00-6:00 p.m. for Early Admission and VIP ticket holders.

#2 Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at Charlotte Knights

Baseball is back this weekend in Uptown Charlotte as the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders come to town to try their luck at the Charlotte Knights.

The two teams will face off in 3 games; Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon.

#3 Dark Star Orchestra

The critically acclaimed Grateful Dead tribute band, Dark Star Orchestra, has been performing rock, psychedelic rock and jam band tunes since 1997. They provide a Grateful Dead concert experience, with the flair of each performer’s own eclectic style, sound and improvisation.

They’ll be performing live at Charlotte’s Filmore this Friday night.

#4 Grand Opening of Reviver Coffee’s Tasting Room

Charlotte’s first ‘fluid-bed’ coffee roastery will be opening their tasting room for the first time this Saturday morning from 9am-noon at 1515 South Mint Street (at the corner of South End and The Gold District).

They’ll be giving out free samples of 6 of their most popular coffees, including;

#5 Open Studio Saturday

#6 2nd Annual Pop-Up Picnic

Join Catawba Lands Conservancy and Carolina Thread Trail for the 2nd annual Pop-Up Picnic in Freedom Park this Saturday from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

The Annual Charlotte African-American Festival is a celebration of the rich heritage and accomplishments of the African-American Community.
