The weekend is almost here!
This weekend we’ll see tons of live music, shows, and several festivals!
Here are the top 10 things happening around the Charlotte region this weekend:
#1 Queen’s Cup
This coming Saturday (29th) one of the biggest horse racing events in the southeast is coming to the Charlotte region.
This year we should see some of the fastest horses ever, with a record $145,000 in cash as the prize purse.

The legendary George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic is coming to town this weekend.
They’ll be playing this Thursday at the Fillmore starting at 8:00pm.
#3 Whitewater Film Series
This weekend will be the first weekend of the U.S. National Whitewater Center’s 2017, featuring a variety of outdoor feature-length films from across the globe, viewers will have a chance to experience the active, outdoor lifestyle from the perspectives of those living it to the fullest. The Whitewater Film Series takes place on Friday evenings at sunset in April, May, September, and October.
This coming Friday they’ll be playing the International Ocean Film Tour:
#4 Neil Diamond
Neil Diamond is headlining the Spectrum Center this coming Friday starting at 8pm.
#5 Lauryn Hill
World renowned singer-songwriter Lauryn Hill will be coming to the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre at the AvidXchange Music Factory this coming Friday night at 7pm.
The 6th annual Charlotte VegFest will held at the Park Expo on Saturday April 29th from 11am to 4pm. The event itself is FREE, parking at the Park is $5/car flat rate(including vendors). We will have 100+ vendors (all food must be vegan), engaging speakers, cooking demo(s), kids fun area, yoga classes and more! The first 200 to arrive will get a free goodie bag.

The Charlotte Hounds (professional lacrosse) will be taking on the Ohio Machine this coming Saturday at 7:30pm at Memorial Stadium.
One of the biggest hair-metal band from the 80s is coming to Charlotte this weekend. They’ll be playing at the PNC Music Pavilion starting at 7:30pm on Saturday night.
#9 Snoop Dog
This coming Sunday night, Snoop Dog, Flatbush Zombies, & Berner will be performing at the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre at the AvidXchange Music Factory.
On April 29th, the best of South End – art, musical performances, craft beer, local makers, and more – will come together at Art & Soul of South End.
The day-long festival will take over Camden Road from West Boulevard to Park Avenue for two music stages, food trucks, and dozens of artists and makers.
