This morning the city of Charlotte witnessed its second annual march for women’s rights.

This weekend’s march, called the Charlotte Women’s March, joined hundreds of thousands of others marching in cities across America, with the largest march being held in Washington DC.

According to the organizer’s website, the march celebrated “women leading the resistance and uplift voices and stories of communities that are affected by the current administration and its oppressive policies.”

President Trump posted a positive comment about the marches on Facebook, saying, “Beautiful weather all over our great country, a perfect day for all Women to March…”

The City of Charlotte saw over 2,000 women gather in Uptown Charlotte to voice a variety of messages;
