There are an endless number of fabulous restaurants and cafes in Charlotte. Whether you want a rib-eye steak cooked to perfection, a pizza and some pasta, or cuisine from just about any region in the world, you’ll find it here.

Some of the top-rated eateries in Charlotte include Big Daddy’s Burger Bar, Zen Fusion, and Dresslers. We’d recommend any of these, and there are dozens of other world-class establishments to dine in.

Casinos & Gambling

If you want to gamble in Charlotte, we have to be straight with you, it’s going to require a rather long round-trip drive.

The nearest casino to Charlotte is Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. It’s 165 miles from Charlotte itself, so you’ll need to plan at least a three-hour drive each way. Of course, you could just log into any of the hundreds of internet casinos and save yourself some time and gas.

Driving out to an Indian casino is an experience in and of itself that could be worth taking, but if you don’t fancy the drive, there are plenty of online casinos based offshore to serve you from anywhere with a web connection.

Culture and History

Charlotte is a diverse city with a rich history and culture. It’s a unique blend of cultural and historical elements like nowhere else. We’d recommend taking a guided tour such as the Uptown Neighborhood Segway Tour or Charlotte’s Historical City Tour.

Did you know Charlotte is renowned for being a haunted city? If ghost tours are your thing, there’s an official “Beyond the Grave” tour which is well worth taking. There are actually several of these, but the Ghost & Vampire hunt is the best one for tourists.

Family Entertainment

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the tourist activities and just chill. Charlotte is a family-friendly city with lots of great options if you’d prefer to just spend a few hours relaxing.

Head out to the Cinemark Movie Bistro to catch a movie, take a stroll through any of the beautiful parks in the city such as Marshall Park, or head to Bowlero and play ten-pin bowls with your family and friends.

Bar and Clubs

If you enjoy nightlife, Charlotte has plenty to offer in that way, too. There are dozens of bars and clubs you can go to if you want to drink, dance and meet some new people.

Go to Prohibition Bar or Roxbury for starters. From there, head to the Howl at the Moon Charlotte or Argon for some clubbing. There are plenty of other places to have a good time, too.
