SylvanSport and Make-A-Wish Partner to Grant NC Youth Camping Wishes

SylvanSport, the Brevard, NC-based maker of award-winning and innovative camping trailers, rooftop tents, and outdoor gear with a mission to make outdoor adventure accessible, proudly announces their formal partnership with Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina (MAWCWNC). Children with camping dreams and critical illnesses will now have a pop-up camper option equipped with the SylvanSport GO camping trailer. The partnership launched in September after SylvanSport’s first wish recipient, Annie, brought the brand and its GO camping trailer to the attention of MAWCWNC staff. The 9-year-old Brevard child suffers from congenital heart disease and dreamed of going camping at the beach with her family in a GO camping trailer so MAWCWNC and SylvanSport joined forces to make Annie’s wish come true.
“Make-A-Wish embodies our purpose of delivering joyful experiences that have the power to change lives,” shared Tom Dempsey, founder, and CEO of SylvanSport. “We are solidly proud to partner with this outstanding organization.”
The GO camping trailer, dubbed as “the coolest camper ever”, was SylvanSport’s first camping towable and has been manufactured since 2004. It comfortably seats and sleeps four or more persons, has capacity and space to haul cargo and gear, and is an easy-to-use and lightweight option for families who want to explore the outdoors.
Since Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina’s founding in 1985, the organization has granted over 5,500 wishes, and since 2019 the organization has seen a surge of wishes for campers or outdoor experiences. “We are thrilled to partner with SylvanSport and welcome them into the Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina family,” said Kathy Jetton, CEO of MAWCWNC. “We remain grateful for their commitment to helping us fulfill wishes for children with critical conditions and look forward to teaming up to grant hope to youth who need it.”
