A line of severe weather is about to blow through the Charlotte region tonight, bringing with it flash flooding and damaging thunderstorms with possible hail and tornadoes.

The storm has already produced dozens of tornadoes across the south, killed 3 people in Louisiana, and flipped over numerous tractor-trailers in Arkansas, according to The Weather Channel.

Charlotte will see the worst of things this evening from about 10pm tonight into early Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service sent out the following warning about tonight’s storm around the Charlotte region;

A line of heavy rain showers with embedded thunderstorms is expected
to cross the area tonight along a cold front. Very gusty winds are
expected to accompany the line of showers and storms, with isolated
damaging winds possible. A brief tornado also cannot be ruled out.
Occasional cloud to ground lightning and very heavy rainfall can
occur with any storm.
