Yesterday afternoon and evening, 3 separate demonstrations were held to call for justice reform after the body cam footage was released of the beating of Tyre Nichols by Memphis police.
2 of the demonstrations started in Marshall Park in Uptown Charlotte and a 3rd candlelight vigil was held at the Urban League of the Central Carolinas.
CMPD chief Johnny Jennings joined Charlotte mayor during one of the marches in Marshall Park:
This afternoon, I was proud to join @CLTMayor as we supported Greg Jackson and @HealCharlotte1, standing in solidarity for Tyre Nichols. Thank you to everyone in attendance that took the time to pray over Memphis, the Nichols family, our Charlotte community, and the @CMPD. pic.twitter.com/F50DX8uTiG

In all three Charlotte events, demonstrators continued to call for change in both policing and our justice system.
What do you think should be done?Â
