This afternoon, shoppers inside of Pineville’s Carolina Place Mall were sent running in terror as word spread of an active shooter.
One shopper recounted the scene when she was inside the mall and said she heard gun shots at about 4:30pm:
“I saw people running and someone with a gun shooting and trying to hurt people. I started praying that God would keep me and others safe from harm,” said Sharlina Little. “When I got outside the store and the mall I noticed people seemed to be panicking but I was just calm trying to figure out what was going on. Then I noticed all these cops pulling up at the mall and people were walking and running fast.”
