Report: Household bills in Charlotte grew 5.80% this year to $2,115

Payment servicer Doxo just released their latest report called the: 2022 State by State Bill Pay Market report.

Among other things, the report found that North Carolina is the #31 most expensive state for household bills. The report also found that:

  • On average, residents of North Carolina spend $1,829 per month on the 10 most common household bills, 8.7% lower than the national average of $2,003
  • Charlotte pays $2,115 per month on the ten most common household bills. This is 15.6% higher than the state average of $1,829, and 5.6% higher than the national average of $2,003.
  • Household bills in Charlotte grew 5.80% this year, likely due to inflation
  • Charlotte is the #18 most expensive city in North Carolina for household bills
  • Charlotte housing expenses already grew by 5.80% so far this year
