Phase 2 Limits Restaurants To 50% Capacity, So Belmont Opened 50% of Main Street To Help

Now that North Carolina is officially in ‘Phase 2’ of the reopening, restaurants across our state have been allowed to reopen, but only at 50% of their maximum capacity.

Since many restaurants are still struggling to make ends meet under these limiting conditions, one Charlotte-area town decided to help out.

Belmont, NC just held their first ‘al fresco dining’ weekend.

For the remainder of Phase 2, while the weather cooperates, the town will be shutting down a large section of Main Street every Friday and Saturday night for socially distanced, open-air dining.
