North Carolina’s First Urban Cookhouse Just Opened In The Park Road Shopping Center

Urban Cookhouse, a farm-to-fire-to-table restaurant concept, will open their newest location today at Park Road Shopping Center in Charlotte, NC. With current locations throughout Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee, the Charlotte location will be the first Urban Cookhouse in North Carolina.

Urban Cookhouse is known for serving quality ingredients through real cooking and offers recipes packed with flavor. The lunch and dinner menu features items like sandwiches, salads, wraps, and entrees that are made from scratch in-house and cooked directly when ordered. From dry rubs to sauces, dressings, dips and more, all dishes feature fresh, never frozen, hand-chopped ingredients.

Embracing their motto “Buy Local, Eat Urban”, each Urban Cookhouse location supports local vendors, artisans and suppliers whenever possible by using locally sourced ingredients and products. In addition to fresh produce, Urban Cookhouse meats are grilled or smoked on a Big Green Egg® grill using local hickory wood and lump charcoal. This allows pork, steak, shrimp and turkey to be packed with flavor without the added fat.

“We look forward to serving the Charlotte market,” said Will Gillespie, President and Owner of Urban Cookhouse. “We are unwavering in our commitment to providing quality and value in every community through the way we serve our guests and the manner in which we do business with our suppliers and partners, big or small.”

Urban Cookhouse prides itself on serving food as it should be—fresh and with a smile in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Each restaurant offers the comfort and convenience of dining with friends and family as if you were at a backyard cookout, but without the hassle of grocery stores, cooking and cleaning.
