Today begins North Carolina’s 150th State Fair. To celebrate this momentous year, fair organizers went all out with some of the wildest food creations you’ve ever heard of.
This year’s new offerings include Deep Fried Dirty Rice, Cheerwine Funnel Cakes, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos corn on the cob, “Crack-n-cheese” turkey barbecue, and even a Pumpkin Pie Milkshake, inside of a mini-pumpkin.

Admission to the fair is $1.50, gates will open at 3pm today, and the first 15,000 fairgoers through the gates will receive a commemorative 150th anniversary button.
You can purchase unlimited ride wristbands here today for $25, or after today for $35.
The 150th North Carolina State Fair runs from Oct. 12 through Oct. 22 at Raleigh’s state fairgrounds, with gates open from 8am – midnight daily.
