New Bodycam Footage Shows Police Shooting And Killing Handcuffed Black Man in South Carolina

The South Carolina Attorney General is now calling for a federal investigation after new body-cam footage shows a police officer shooting and killing Ariane McCree while he was in handcuffs.

The incident occurred this past November in a Walmart parking lot in Chester, SC, about 30 miles south of Charlotte:

Here is the newly release body-cam footage along with a report from WSOC about the incident:

After the body-cam footage was released last week, the family and numerous members of the community held a protest rally near the Walmart, which caused South Carolina’s Attorney General to call for a federal investigation.

At this point it is unclear whether or not the U.S. Attorney will open an investigation.
