The Greensboro Police have just charged 34-year-old Rebecca McCabe with a hate crime after attacking NC House Candidate Brandon Gray and his boyfriend in a Greensboro Walmart.
The incident occurred last Thursday at the Walmart on West Wendover Avenue in Greensboro.
Gray posted about the incident on Facebook along with a picture of the attacker. In the post, he states that:
“Michael and I went to Walmart to grab some groceries and a few things for my Grandmother who is extremely high risk. We were getting her a tank top when a woman starts cussing at us telling us to get out of the women’s section her daughter is trying to change (in the middle of the aisle). She then starts calling us “Disgusting Queer Faggots” and puts her hands around michaels throat trying to choke him.”
On Friday, Gray released an official statement about the incident.
