Police are now asking for the public’s help in locating a fatal hit-and-run suspect.
According to NC Highway Patrol, a fatal hit-and-run took place on Saturday morning at about 6:15am near mile marker 31 on I-77S in Iredell County.
29-year-old Zachary Turner was on the side of the road when a 2006-09 White Hatchback Volkswagen Golf struck him. The vehicle briefly stopped before driving away, according to police. The vehicle is now believed to have some damage to the front, right side, and/or undercarriage.
