Massive BBQ Competition Coming To Cabarrus County This Weekend

mount pleasant bbq contestThis coming Friday, some of the best BBQ rivals in our state will be firing up their smokers for Mt. Pleasant’s annual Fall Festival and Polar Pig Cook-Off, with proceeds going to the Mt. Pleasant Food Ministry, Toys for tots and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Wristbands will cost $10 and will allow festival-goers to sample bbq from both the local backyard division as well as from the experts. Live music starts at 6 p.m. and will run until about 10 p.m.

On Saturday morning, vendors and entertainment will be getting started at 9 a.m., and the winners of the competition will be announced at 5 p.m.

The Mt. Pleasant and Northeast Cabarrus fire departments will also offer their own bbq for sale as well.
